My votes for “A New Day Has Come”:

 

• Right In Front Of You: Such an energetic and dynamic song could work wonders onstage.

 

• A New Day Has Come: This song is majestic regardless of the version. Uptempo, ballad… it just doesn’t matter. The song is pure gold.

 

• Goodbye’s (The Saddest Word): I know it was a terrible single choice back in 2002, but this could be the most personal moment in the show by dedicating it to Thérèse. Plus, a live version of the song would be much celebrated by the fans.

 

• When The Wrong One Loves You Right: The musical style of this track perfectly captures the essence of this album.

IA is an actual hit though. LCMM is this flop single that she has been shoving down our throats for 30 years. :P

That song became really stale after a while. At this point I'd much prefer to hear unsung songs and B-sides. Will that happen if she returns? Not likely… yet this whole game is a fantasy anyway, so why not let the obvious hits take a break and focus on other gems in her discography.

I understand. Thing is I was under the impression that IA was a massive fan favourite considering its great daily streaming numbers on YT and Spotify. But I guess I was wrong. Maybe the general public loves it whereas fans here are a bit tired of it like you say.

I believe we are looking at a set-list of around 50 songs at the moment which are too many. Adding more to it would make the result way too unrealistic IMO.

 

But maybe after this game is complete we could create a set-list of non-album tracks and rarities?

  • I Drove All Night - incredible song, really got me into her music back in 2003/2004.
  • Naked - this one should have been a single, very young, fresh, and cool.
  • Reveal - well, duh!
  • Stand By Your Side - an acoustic version please!
