From what I've been reading, one of the early symptoms of SPS is a loss of balance. I can't help but look back and wonder if Celine was seen out and about holding hands with Pepe so much was to help mask her early symptoms from the public. Perhaps she held onto him so much for support in not falling. Remember when she fell at a fashion show around that time? Maybe that was SPS related. I do remember thinking at the time how rare it was for Celine to fall like that, because she usually has amazing balance, especially in heels. Just a thought. I don't want to start anything so please don't take what I say seriously. It's just a random thought that I couldn't help but wonder.

I think Celine accidentally hooked on this red thing, so it wasn't really a sign.

 

Honestly, I believe her SPS appeared suddenly out of nowhere. We would have seen at least some signs on stage in Vegas or during CWT otherwise, especially given light and sound can be triggers. While she said "I've been dealing with my health issues for a long time", I think it can be interpreted differently. First of all, she could refer not only to SPS, but in general (for example, remember her problems with hearing and subsequent ear operation?). Secondly, because of the pandemic, these 1-2 years could feel much longer than it actually was.

I think you're reading too much into these moments. At the same time she would sometimes walk arm-in-arm with Pepe she was dancing, walking, and doing high kicks on stage in heels but she'd struggle walking from the car to the store?

During that fashion show she tripped because there was an orange cone behind her that she didn't see but she caught herself (with the help of Law). That wasn't a loss of balance moment. We've never seen her lose her balance seemingly out of nowhere and actually hit the ground which is what happens to those with SPS symptoms.

I really don't think this was out of the blue. Go back to 2019 and something was very visibly wrong with her health. Again, in her own words she had been having problems for a long time. You may in your initial post have been reading too much into things as some people have suggested, but you aren't wrong to have been looking for signs that far back in my opinion.

Even if Celine can’t tour again or do Vegas, I’m holding out hope that she can continue her career — recording albums, making appearances, etc. if she wants to.

 

I hope that her treatments are going well… that’s what I’d like to know more than anything else.

I’d suspect we will know the fate of the august tour restart not later than June.

Could there be a reason why they are opting to postpone instead cancel? Other than hoping she’s okay to go?

Gordon Lightfoot passed away last night.... such a loss. It was only 3 or 4 weeks ago that he canceled his latest tour for health reasons.

In reading and listening to the various obituaries today, I learned that he had an aneurism in the early 2000s and spent 6 weeks in a coma, after which he had to re-learn to sing and play guitar. Much like Joni Mitchell.

But they both did it.

So I have faith Celine will figure out some way to continue doing what she loves.
