Why are so many news sites not mentioning Celine?

Well as much as it is frustrating it s also quite logical.

She s there since a billion years. She’s not a young artist. While for the other this is something new, fresh and for artists that are more in the spotlight in US.

Again, they don’t care as much. She’s been there on and off for 19 years, for everybody else this is their first residency. Even tho, she’s the biggest talent, will definitely sell out the best and probably have the most shows each year. But unfortunately, hearing Celine and Vegas isn’t news anymore, it’s just a given to a lot of people. However, this is exactly why they tapped her at RW, because she can fill the seats, she’s not high risk in terms of canceling and she’s known as the Queen of Vegas.

Media outlets dont care because it’s been not even been 2 years since her 8 year run with Celine ended... that and they spent months peddling the end of Celine as the end of her 16 years in Vegas, that she was done, finito... so I’m sure that also plays into it as well. I believe the messaging/promotion/branding when she left Vegas was, “Ciao for now” which implies she’ll be back. She was just going on the road for a world tour. And then a global pandemic happened.

I don’t like that she is mixed up with these 2-3 other performers... but i guess she probably has no choice to do so. As decades go by she probably doesn’t have enough fame power to attract people to another vegas residency like this.... idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t think she wants to perform that many shows anymore. And the theater once opened, doesn’t want to sit empty any night of the week.

Any night that it would be empty due to no show, is a loss for the casino , especially a new one trying to make money. The theatre isn’t the main money maker for them, but to 5,000 people each night go through the casino, is a big deal... a lot will spend money in some way or form in the resort, whether gambling, shopping or eating.

If the seats of The Theatre is 1000 more than Colesseum, Celine would just perform there forever, perhaps with less tours, less singles out, less albums out... because she makes more money with these sold out tickets than the albums nowadays. Afterall, TC is quite a "money-looker"

Even when she left CP we knew she'd be back. Ciao for now was also a clear sign of this. She has 3 kids, 2 of which are still in grade school. Realistically, why would she tour all the time when ppl can come to her and she can go home every night? And make a killing for doing it? It gives her family stability, which she's said for years now will always be her priority.

 

In regards to the other performers: she's not mixed up with them. They're simply just other headliners. If she's not doing 300 shows a year they need other artists there to bring ppl in. Carrie, Katy and Luke are huge here and constantly selling out arenas. Luke's "Crash My Playa" in Playa Del Carmen sold out in a day. Whether they're your taste or not, fact is they can also sell tickets. That's all. We're coming out of a pandemic and RW just spent $$$$$. They need profits.

The casinos are all so far away from it that it's super quiet - no kids, either.

Celine is sentimental and although change is good it’s gonna be weird for her driving to and from home to Resorts World passing the colosseum that was built for her, so many memories for her in that place.

 

I heard schedules for some artists will be announced in May & the rest in June to co-incident with the grand opening of the hotel, so we don’t have that long to wait thankfully.

 

Btw does anyone know where the theatre is in relation to the lay out of this resort?

I did - rooms look like they're $350-$375 at the bottom end. That's similar to other places I've stayed on the strip. I don't think I'd actually stay at Resorts World. I really like THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay (which I think is now called The Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay?) which is a separate, more upscale, out of the way hotel. The casinos are all so far away from it that it's super quiet - no kids, either.

 

The Bellagio is the best hotel, I love staying there, seen Celine multiple occasions in Vegas when she was at Caesars Palace and never stayed there because besides the forum shop area, I find that hotel very dark, chaotic, and old.

The theatre seems to be outdoors almost in between the casino tower and hotel tower. I think it would be smart if they included Entrances not only from the casino/hotel but also from outdoors.

I’m glad that there’s 3 other main headliners at the venue, because I feel like having a smaller amount of Vegas shows per run and in total can only be a positive for Celine, the foremost reason (aside from scheduling and less vocal strain) being that it will lessen the chance of her going into any form of autopilot; she’s performing less shows less often, meaning the actual enjoyment of performing at the shows will remain. I also think the clear younger demographic they’re appealing to at Resorts World will also help, as we’ve seen when Celine’s faced with a younger crowd (on the occasion there’d be an influx of younger people at a CP show), they’re often more loud, more enthusiastic, and therefore Celine herself has more fun.

The theatre is circled in red. I believe I read that there will be entrances both from inside the casino and from outside.
