Well, her last appearance was certainly much better.

 

Curious that this is the only late night show she seems to be doing. I expected more appearances. And some magazine features, more radio / other press interviews being released. Perhaps Sony's going for a "slow drip" and we'll see more come out in the days & weeks to come. Presumably they're aiming for this to be a "stocking stuffer" so I imagine they'll want to do some more promo through the holiday season.

She has already recorded tons of interviews, promos, videos, etc... Happens that they are not being aired all at a time.

And she's still recording things...

It's not her fault if Sony has planned this way.

I wonder if there's almost no promo because promo usually exists these days to promote a tour (since artists barely make anything off the actual record any more), and her tours are pretty much all sold out already.

yeah, I mean, they're fun to watch I like them together. But for my, this was interesting... Weird. I don't get why they didn't have a performance. On a regular day, no new music. This would have been fun. But with a new album.. doesn't make sense. Weird.

The funny part being last time when she was on his show, she got 2 segments of interview... 1 the actual interview. The 2nd segment included the impersonation game... and then she performed “The Show Must Go On” for the hell of it , with nothing new to promote.

 

That impersonation game she did last time got her talked about everywhere it was good publicity and something like that would have been cool on an album release day. Nope we got nothing like that today.

 

And then no song, off a album that came out the same day as her appearance????!

 

Part of me believes, she was never supposed to be on the show tonight but they made it happen last minute, because jimmy already had a packed line-up prior to Celine was announced to be on the show, and maybe the Tonight Show already made prior engagements to include those guests so they just squeezed Celine in, because even his open monologue was a lot shorter tonight.

 

If that’s the case, it’s once again team Celine’s fault.

We aren’t going to have a single live performance of anything off this album the opening week now. She won’t sing on Andy’s show, and Thanksgiving parade still 2 weeks away.

Glad she got to be on The Tonight Show and get some additional visibility the same day her album launched. She’s so darn adorable and humble.

 

I’m overall pleased (so far) with the album promo. Two music videos, lots of interviews, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade where she finally sang Imperfections, the karaoke night in nyc to celebrate the album launching, etc. Do I want more? Always! But she’s so grounded and fierce and confident in her decisions right now that I’m just along for the ride.

 

I’m so in love with this new album / era — and I think the general public will continue to find their way to these fantastic new songs. Slow and steady wins the race.

She can kiss a sweet goodbye to that number 1 spot. Not live performances on TV opening week is a BIG mistake. Macy’s won’t air until 28th obviously. All that time in New York and this is the result.

 

I’m extremely in love with this album but if they want it to be a success, they need to promote it. Once she’s back on the road touring, we can forget about it!

The interview was a lot of fun, she was witty, played along well, and they even broke into an impromptu song. I like that he teased her about the armor image lol, I love that picture. I also was laughing at the whole "where's the camera", she played that bit up so much lol. You could see her almost start laughing when he started talking about her not having a phone or laptop (as if, she's gone on record saying she googles designers and fashion trends, and uses youtube).

 

But, if this wasn't scheduled with time so that she could get a good sized segment/s and sing then it's a real big fail from TC. And if it was all scheduled with time then it's an even bigger fail to not have her sing a new song when she's there to promote her new album ON release day.

 

What a shame. This was the perfect time to top or equal the wheel of impressions game.
