Well she released the music video and the streams went up, I know she got sick and had to cancel shows. However, she didnt even perform the song live in the first few shows and made zero public appearances on any shows... all promotion has stopped so far, no wonder the song stopped in its tracks recently.

Who knows, maybe they are just testing the (radio) waters and then they will release another big single... Let's see what Sony has in store. They seem to have improved their game lately with Celine.

The song keeps growing on me. I still think it deserved a better video.

Sony saw that the song was growing on spotify and decided to make a video clip in a hurry, upload footage from the tour and other celine singing videos. I'm not complaining anymore I also think it could have been better.

Given the date they released the video, I guess the original intention was to add this song to the setlist

during one of the Canadian dates, I will be happy if that actually happens

for the last two canadian shows for this month. It's such a wonderful song to sing live.

 

I guess the second video + tracklist of the album will be put out

I’m not so sure if this song would work live on stage.

 

It’s a cool and really well produced chill out song with cool beats and sounds, but probably too little dynamic and energetic for the stage. It would definitely work as an interlude though!

 

I also think that the music video is just perfect and fits the song so well. It’s easy going and delivers a message while showing interesting and esthetic footage. For me personally, the second half of the video is more interesting than the first, and the bun and garbage bag which she wears while singing could have been replaced to make her look a little better (the white outfit she wears while singing is so much better!) But still, a very nice, modern and enjoyable video

From the first moment I've heard this one, I Immediately imagined how great it will work live

the verses have cool vibe with the snapping and imo it get even better in the C parts.

They released a video + it's an official single, so she does have to sing it

1. This song is literally *made* for a tour setlist, especially for the end of a set ... as the outro can be stretched out indefinitely to fill the time lost to a costume change. My suspicion is that, since it is vocally not challenging, Celine is unsure of how to interpret it live, and fears it may be underwhelming / not translate well. But she should do it.

 

2. Sony is clearly using a more advanced strategy for the marketing of this album, and most likely, the three new songs released last month were test cases built on different marketing models. Imperfections represents the "streaming earworm" model but it is not staying true to the "Celine model" that has always worked in the past.

 

3. The "Celine model" is simple: her best vocal performances are always the songs that people respond to the most enthusiastically. "Make You Happy" could have satisfied some algorithmic market in 96 had algorithms been used to deliver music to listeners back then, and clearly, it was more "current," but it wasn't the most impactful vocal. The best vocals from that album were the songs that became hits.

 

4. What is the best vocal from "Courage"? This is the only question I'm interested in. Is it PMLALS? Because if so, that can be a hit. I think it's really become, again, that simple, and this is the marketing angle they are forgetting. The best vocals from all of the post-ATW albums were largely downplayed while more "marketable" tracks were released as singles. People want a classic Celine Dion song that makes them sit back and think, "Wow" in silence as they listen. It's not as complicated as they think it is. Find the best vocal, and promote the hell out of it.
