I think that Céline admires Sia and Adele because in a world full of singers sexualizing themselves, Sia and Adele manage to stay classy yet modern. Céline probably wants that for herself and sees that as her ideal self. Therefore, she tries to copy them.

In any case it will be nice if soon there will be any new song to talk about:)

I don't know how it goes for other artists, wish it won't take her so many years to record one English album.

Same old talking points, for the most part. And boy... she really is all over the place! :giggle:

 

Some fairly interesting bits though -

 

"What would you say drives you now that did not drive you before?

"Dance. Dancing makes my body sing. It uplifts me, makes me feel strong, healthier, more in charge. At a certain point [in your life] you just want to take care of yourself and I found that in dance. Because people started to ask me in interviews, I would say about 10 years ago, 'What do you do for yourself?' And the question fazed me. And I kept thinking about it, What do I do for myself? And I was like… [silence] It opened a little can of worms when they asked me that question a long time ago because, what do I do for me? I thought that singing and performing and giving a part of me every night was all that I could do or that I needed to do. And I was like, I do nothing. A couple of years ago, I think I grew some wings, and I know where they came from. [...]

 

Right now everyone is hyper-aware of their health and well-being. Are you very devoted to specific foods or supplements? Are you someone who’s very connected to that part of wellness? Or are you more of an overall wellness type of person?

"I would have a tendency to go more toward exercising. Also my way of meditation, which I do at night when I’m done with my day. And I don’t go to bed trying to sleep. I meditate for half an hour. If I have little aches and pain somewhere, I visualize the tendons and the muscles and the blood flow and try to heal myself. In general, I would recommend people to be aware of their bodies. That would be my thing to say."

She constantly has been the same loving, affectionate, generous person 🥰
