Celine Surprise Project: edgy photoshoot for CR Fashion Book

I think they again lost their way with the direction of the Album, delayed to Nov

and just like a bad joke, the concerts will start before people will know to sing the new songs.

All seems to be messed up, but no wonder with her useless company.

 

Honestly it's not time for her to go on Tour, she seems so unhealthy and lost.

All of a sudden Michael Jackson came to my mind.

 

 

and then you will see the reviews - Celine did It''s all coming back to me now after singing '' I have courage''' a song nobody had heard before, she had the crowd on their feet with her well known cover - river deep mountain high. After that she sung a ballad, again a unknown song and the response of the audience was lackbuster.. but then she sang my heart will go on, the song we all wanted to hear. Heck we just want to hear the hits - don''t we? -

hahah again about fashion. Yes I think it is nice she is having fun but it is like her music comes second place lately. There is a new tour coming and no new music yet for people to hear. Everytime a artist goes on tour with a certain album people have had the time to listen to the tracks or buy the album , so when the tour comes you can enjoy the new tracks live. But with no promo at all - except flying on my own - singing complete new songs, you cannot expect the audience immediately liking the songs or enjoying them,. dancing along with them. It usually takes a listen or two or more to enjoy a song. So .. with so less time before the tour starts you would expect they show us some more. The fashion side of her, it is great she likes it so much but i wish she evolved in her music as well. That she gave more priority to her music career except being stuck in the 90s songs that her people like to hear in each and every concert. Where is the passion she used to have for making music? It is more of passion for fashion.

 

This. The fact that she will start a tour named after a "new album" but the new album hasn't been released (has not even a release date!) is beyond my nerves and gets me mad I just can't understand.

We only need that the song Courage has another controvery like WAAF and she has to scrap the song from the album and change the name of the tour and the embarrassment is served

I remembered that too. I am not sure that could be imminent though as where would she find the time to do that in between the tour.

God, I'm more and more disappointed by her this year...

In my memories, Celine Dion was the greatest singer of our time.. and not a woman willing to go trough all the nonsense to get noticed in the media

This. The fact that she will start a tour named after a "new album" but the new album hasn't been released (has not even a release date!) is beyond my nerves and gets me mad I just can't understand.

I am a huge fan. But i want to be entertained, i want my idol to do a new show with new songs. I am not waiting to hear - wether live or not - the power of love or because you loved me ( i want you to sing this last phrase with me.. beccaaause you loooooooved me eheeh ) again. Celine please, evolve, artistically. And the fashion is new is daring, is now, while her setlist is far from now. It is about then. I am in for a new tour. But when i get the same setlist again and i have to wait 6 years or more for a new tour and it is exact those same songs again... it is just a shame she does so less songs from her past cds she never performed live..

It’ll be a greatest French hits show with songs from EUS probably thrown in a bit as well as a couple of English hits, FOMO, and whatever the lead single off the new album will be. It’s only the October shows in the USA that she’ll be doing before the album is released.

 

This tour is obviously to, in part, ensure that the album is #1 when it’s released - an album for each ticket sold - but since Celine hasn’t toured the USA in 11 years, this will mostly be a “greatest hits” tour with a few new songs. I have specifically chosen to go to Montreal to see a French show for that reason. Another English show with the same old songs didn't interested me much having basically seen that in Hyde Park in July. Hopefully by the time the English shows come to Europe I will know the new songs from the album and some will have been added to the show.

As a fan who attended her last show in London, I can positively say her artistry was anything but present on that show. She was totally in the kind of mood "let's get this done asap and go home"

 

2016 tour? That was artistry.

 

2017 tour? Not much artistry, but she was enthusiastic and incorporated several new songs and the dancing number with Pepe, a side of her we had barely seen before. That was artistry. But since then? The past 2018 Asian tour was a fiasco in those terms, a mere copycat of the Vegas show.

Wearing so many designerclothes and costumes, hairdo''s , but yet a photographer took a random pic at my heart will go on, that does not even reflect the courage theme in my opinion.It is more like Celine - Teeth - a new horrorstory. Even the font does not scream courage.. ah well, there are always choices to make..

I am not sure that if the picture was really out there most members of the public would really get it. They can't sell all the tickets to hard core fans, they need the casual fans on board too.

no they could have done a specific photoshoot. It is just called lack of artistry when you make a photo during her Vegas concert and use that for a new themed tour.

I believe that one of the major problems here is that she doesn't have "a musical motor" behind her

that will give her the creative ideas and interest whenever it comes to music/Tour.

Fingers crossed she will find a way to make an interesting New show.

I would have never imagined, absolutly never, Celine beeing dubbed by Carine Roitfeld. I mean, she is in the fashion world, next to Wintour, the most recognised and powerful woman. And even in comparison to Wintour, her approach of fashion in term of avant garde and breaking boundaries for women, has always been out of this world.

 

Again, the way she entered the fashion world is just crazy. She could have just been there doing more photoshoot with expensive outfits in front of a green wall, like she used to. But no, she chose Celinunu, she chose Roitfeld. This is strong, arty and even politic. She's doing so strong, so smart. Almost can't believe it.

I personnally don't care about the result. Do I find Celinnunu clothes ugly or beautiful ? I don't even care. Do I find the approach f****** interesting, surprising, arty and politic ? Ho yes, and that's what matters the most for me.

 

Coming from a girl who built everything on being always absolutly neutral and conservative, seeing her wanting to work with Celinnunu and Roitfeld, is just crazy. Seeing her becoming an artist at 50 is fascinating.

The message doesn’t bother me. The goth, dark and depressing clothing for children does. I don’t care if some boys want to wear pink or girls want to wear blue, but these ugly dark and demon like clothing for such young children is in my opinion far from a good message. Let children look like children not like gothic and sad individuals... even with promo you hardly see a smile from these children.. to me Celine having a controversial stance is okay but the result is NOT.

I don't see why little children should wear a random celine photo with a simplistic paint drawn crown on it. no I do not care for this clothing line at all. The idea behind it is good but the execution...

Why does everyone seem to ignore the fact that Céline specifically said “This will not be the Vegas show” and “We will not bring the Vegas show on tour”. Of course she’s going to sing MHWGO, TPOL, BYLM, IACBTM etc. She will sing those for the rest of her life but I truly believe this show will be, as Céline said, spectacular.
