Is it just me, or do you guys also notice the difference in the background vocals when you compare the Carpool version with the final album bersion. The background vocals were changed, no?

Im thinking that the song used in CPK was Sias demo, would make sense if the final mixing etc wasn’t finished

yes, maybe they didn’t want to reveal Celines version that early before the release on CPK. But I think that since she was singing this already during the 2017 MET gala, the song was probably finished at that time.

 

But what kind of bothers me still is that the background vocals should be the way they do it live on tour. Instead in the album version Sia is singing while Celine is singing the chorus, and when Celine stops and there is the break there are no background vocals. Does this bother you guys too?

The version in live is more good for my ears. What that happens on the studio version is one big mess .

I like the studio version. Somehow all this vocal layers works fine to me. Specially at the second versus, after the first chorus. ❤️

Do you consider Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Maroon 5, James Blunt old legends music? And 15 million listeners a small radio? I think it's great for Celine. It sure won't hurt!

Comments on YouTube are very touching... you can really read how her music has an impact on people's lives. People share personal stories of abuse, bullying, even suicide. They say the song helps them. It is amazing. I am sure it would put a big smile on Celine's face to read said comments.

Courage is wonderful, too, but like I said in the Courage thread, it's so personal that it feels almost voyeuristic. And that, in a way, makes it almost uncomfortable to listen to, so I can't have it on repeat like I have Lying Down.

Very much looking forward to the video! They did such a great job with the Imperfections vid - though I don't understand the attraction of that song itself since it has no melody and is just totally awkward - that I have high hopes for the LD one.

It’s for the older generation let’s be honest.. the ones who don’t really know how to stream etc...

 

Not like it’s Capital, Radio 1 or Kiss that reaches a wider audience range although it’s highly unlikely those stations would play her but then again as Sia is on there?!?

Radio 2 is where she’s at and as much as it’d be nice for her to be riding the waves on top, she’ll never compete again with Harry Styles or Adele and all of that, no matter what station plays her. Service your audience and all that. And Radio 2 gave us that glorious interview.
