watching the ET interview I posted, she's not as energetic as she was in 2017. She seems a little tired maybe, she didn't break into song in any interview so far.

Wow she looks gorgeous.. Outshines Gaga in my opinion. a friend of mine said, and she has a foreseeing gift, watch her after her husband passed away - she will do things you never thought she would expect her to do. Rene was orchestrating her life and now she expresses herself and is her own Boss. She will surprise us with sides of Celine we did not know before.

And look where we are now.. What more does our queen have to show to the world?

So apparently it'd was the designer who asked Celine to come.

 

It is an outfit that took 3,000 hours to create and that was inspired by one Judy Garland wore in the MGM classic “Ziegfeld Girl.” That costume was designed by Adrian to give the tiny performer a fighting chance when she appeared onscreen alongside Lana Turner and Hedy Lamarr.

 

“It’s very Vegas, and Celine to me is Vegas in the most beautiful way,” Mr. Garcia said, adding that when she first saw the dress, with its floor-length fringes, Ms. Dion immediately put on the soundtrack to “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and began to dance

 

Pepe and I have been Instagram friends since a couple years ago,” Mr. Garcia said. “So I wrote him a message saying, ‘You probably have a million requests, but by any chance would Celine like to come to the Met?’”

Mr. Garcia said. “I was totally flabbergasted when, after a week, Pepe gave me a ‘maybe’ and then, within two weeks, a ‘yes.’”

Does Billy like Celine though? I know he wasn't too happy when she covered Love Is On The Way for LTAL. He wrote about how they basically took that song from him as he was on the rise. Hopefully he's gotten over it since though.

Someone on instagram compared her look to Julie Andrews in Victor/Victoria and I can't believe that comparison didn't occur to me. That is one of my all time favorite movies, and one of the movies I would love to see rebooted with Celine in the lead role.

What I love about Céline is that she is so selfless... like bringing in the designer to give him a piece of air time, I love it! And the ending is just too funny!!

 

I think she looked AMAZING!! her outfit is a zillion times better than Jlo's, which is just Cher's Believe outfit of the last 20 years! The only minor critique I have is that his high blond is making it all a bit monotone colourwise. IMO black hair would have stood out, but that would have probably made her look even older.

 

But after 15 years Céline finally truly is a Vegas Showgirl!

She stole the gala from many of those younger stars.... this was great, different for her and she has defiantly been trying to put on some weight and it looks good on her. He face is much more full!
