Celine ''Cher's moment'' has already been screwed up back in 2002 by not releasing ''Sorry For Love'' as the lead single of ANDHC. I'm kind of afraid that the 60 seconds snippet ''Flying On My Own'' playing in the truck is not the forthcoming single and they might release a ballad instead, thus scrapping any chance for Celine to have her own ''Cher's moment of glory''.

 

For the past 10 years, I've been craving for Celine to have a song like ''When Love Takes Over'' and ''Sexy Chick'' and now that she seems to finally have one, I hope they will play the right cards.

 

Yeah that's sad. At least FOMO should be released as a single, even a second single is OK so general ppl can listen to it widely. -*-

But they never really managed to have a good up tempo dance track. It was always a bit too dated, a bit too late, poor production, or too corny.

 

Indeed!! I am a bit tiny afraid FOMO might fall into that category too but I am trying to have faith it doesn't and delivers a current sound.

I think two singles will be out by September... and we know Celine doesn't really sing more than 3 or 4 songs from her latest album. By ''Cher's moment'' I wasn't referring to their age and career's lenght but to the fact that back in 2002 Celine could have massive #1 hit single like ''Believe'' with ''sorry For Love'' since these songs are similars. ''Sorry For Love'' was very popish and radio friendly yet it was never released as a single, that's what I call a wasted opportunity.

I think Céline won’t have a big hit again purely due to the way the industry has changed and the fact radio won’t pick it up!

Celine didnt have the appeal to different genres back then that she does now. She was still kind of a joke to many and was known solely for ballady type music, so Sorry For Love probably wouldnt have done as well as you think it would have

Not only that but Sorry for love is way less catchy. Celine Dion or not sorry for love is far behind Believe. So no.

I think it's because it would have been difficult / impossible for her to replicate that "high note" live as it was digitally stitched together using the actual high note from the original recording / "2003 version." She could have done it but it wouldn't have sounded the same live and we all know how important that was for Rene that the live performances sound exactly like the studio versions ...

And she did say there will be a single out before Summer...and considering that the album won't be released till November/Fall... it's kinda safe to assume that

I had thought this yesterday when I first watched the interview, but thought maybe I was just crazy! It's so hard to hear, but I was definitely wondering! I'm glad someone else picked up on this too. Perhaps it actually is!
