scielle Posted March 6, 2020 at 01:54 AM Posted March 6, 2020 at 01:54 AM Now that's a great look! Love it! Working late? Are you sure you weren't on this forum last night? ‘til 1am, as a matter of fact. Please don’t add insult to injury... 😔(And I didn’t end up getting last minute tix to tonight’s show either, since just got out of office. I hear there were deals to be had. Sigh.) 1 Quote

Tyler1991 Posted March 6, 2020 at 03:37 AM Posted March 6, 2020 at 03:37 AM (edited) Prerecord that Note as she already does for all by myself! Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G965F met Tapatalk That is literally the worst suggestion. NO more playback is necessary. While I'm sad lying down was cut I would much rather it be cut than playbacked. Taking chances tour may have had more songs but how many stuck around for the tours full duration that were fully live? Taking chances and alone had the endings lipped so to me they're irrelevant. They do not count, to me...Eyes on me was fully lipped. That's just the woman in me was cut early and also fully lipped. Cant fight the feeling was attempted live a few times. A song for you and a world to believe in were only done once or twice. Shadow of love was nice to include but this live arrangement has to be her worst ever in career of songs. Fade away and my love are probably the live highlights off this album. Consistently a whopping two. Whooo. I will state again that adding filler songs to the setlist only to lip them is THE MOST annoying thing and something that was done so much for so long. I'm happy now that the lipped songs are the "required songs" and no more. As a diehard fans, live fillers are often my own personal highlight (and first to be cut). The fillers being a portion of covers is disappointing. Is what it is though. Nothing will change. This setlist is a bucket list fans tour. Edited March 6, 2020 at 03:37 AM by Tyler1991 3 Quote
scielle Posted March 6, 2020 at 04:32 AM Posted March 6, 2020 at 04:32 AM (edited) So I didn't go to the show tonight, but thought it would be a good night for a walk around the neighborhood, on the off chance I might run into a hotel fashion show. (I mean, it would be a crime not to, she's literally 5 min away!)And sure enough, there she was, wearing fuchsia pink, being her usual lovely self. She spent a good 20 minutes signing autographs and then posed a bit in front of this sculpture they have in the hotel courtyard. A nice way to cap off the evening! P.S. Not mine, but somebody's got pics: https://www.instagra.../p/B9YQz9knOo_/ Edited March 6, 2020 at 04:41 AM by scielle 6 Quote

And only certain notes are lipped, like in all by myself, so it's okay with me, aslong as they were included. I want to hear those songs live so bad in june 2 Quote

couldawouldashoulda Posted March 6, 2020 at 02:21 PM Posted March 6, 2020 at 02:21 PM The 3rd show in Brooklyn was AMAZING!! On a related note, the 4040 club is totally worth buying access to - it wasn’t crowded (probably is for basketball games) and the food was outstanding as well as having actual decent alcohol - and champagne, which they don’t have downstairs. (The only thing I can drink due to my Irritiable Bowel Disease is sparkling wine.) On the plus side, nobody ever asks for champagne, and once it’s open, there’s nothing they can do with it so I basically got the entire bottle for the price of one glass cuz the bartender just kept topping me off. Needless to say, I was quite tipsy for the show. She was vocally on fire last night. My husband (casual fan) was both pleased at the set list and blown away by being 8th row, having Celine stand right in front of us and belt song and after song after song to which he knew all the words. He hates to stand at concerts but did so happily other than for TLBSEPT and Courage. He took a break for those. As for the lipping talk, I’m in agreement with Tyler. Why add new songs from an album if she’s just going to lip them? I get the sense that lipping was never her idea. Since Rene stopped being her manager and Mego got fired and then after Rene died, we’ve seen the amount of lipping in her shows go WAY down. She only lips the “required songs” now and not even in their entirety. I think that’s why The Reason got dropped from this tour. It’s why Lying Down got dropped from this tour. She’d rather drop songs than lip them, imo. 7 Quote

Popular Post couldawouldashoulda Posted March 6, 2020 at 03:45 PM Popular Post Posted March 6, 2020 at 03:45 PM Thought I would to give more of my husbands “Not We” experience (casual fan.) After the opening set of IACBTMN, TTWII, IA, IYAMT and TPOL, he flopped down in his seat almost exhausted saying “Jesus, it was just one giant hit after another! How is she gonna do a whole show of that?!” 2nd set - he knows and loves LCMM, BATB (classic), he seemed to enjoy You’re The Voice - said that was more political than he thought of Celine being, sat down for TLBSEPT, back on his feet for TLYM (a fave of both of ours - it’s probably my favorite Celine song of all time) and sat back down for Courage but thought it was gorgeous. 3rd set - He loved the whole thing, ABM, Imperfections (although he does not like the new album, this song has grown on him over the past two months), he thought the solo version of The Prayer was beautiful and of course then BYLM. In the blackout, he asked me if that was the “fake goodbye” 4th set - LOVED LOVED LOVED the dance medley, as most everyone other than die hard fans do - he danced and sang and ate it all up. (RDMH is one of his personal favorites of Celine’s.) 5th set - MHWGO - he was blown away by the drones and thought I was a lovely quiet way to end the show and such an iconic NYC song. So another extremely satisfied customer. May this tour continue to wow audiences across the globe!! (As long as the coronavirus doesn’t cause it to be cancelled throughout Europe.) 9 Quote
