I literally didnt even mention GaGas voice, I know she's an incredibly versatile singer and can sing her butt off but she also is extremely well known for ENTERTAINING with a big production, Celine cannot say the same

In my opinion, these are “the required songs” for an Ango-based tour:

 

1) “My Heart Will Go On”

2) “The Power Of Love”

3) “Because You Loved Me”

4) “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”

5) “Beauty And The Beast”

6) “That’s The Way It Is”

7) “A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)”

8) “I’m Alive”

9) “I Drove All Night”

10) “Ashes”

11) “All By Myself”

 

That leaves room for about 5-6 new songs from the upcoming album, 1 cover, 3-5 other hits (i.e. “To Love You More,” “Pour que tu m’aimes encore,” “Misled,” “Taking Chances,” “If You Asked Me To,” and “Nothing Broken But My Heart”), and 2 deep album cuts/fan favorites (i.e. “Somebody Loves Somebody,” “Ten Days,” “Sorry For Love,” “Right In Front Of You,” “Then You Look At Me” and “Reveal”).

 

Now, if she truly wanted to take risks, she could throw in more French material than only one lonely song. To do this, get rid of all covers she hasn’t made her own a la “The Power Of Love,” and increase the setlist to a constant 28 songs. Highly unlikely, though.

Yes. Exactly. Celines main job is to sing, not to ENTERTAIN. GaGa does both, hence her double sided vegas show, Jazz Piano and Enigma. She can do both.

 

Madonna..... not so much. Still an amazing entertainer mind you.

And yes Ive seen AND and TCWT, but theres a reason they mostly got negative reviews for the entertainment aspect of the show (except for the last year of AND which had become progressively less and less theatrical as it went on)

 

Actually if you read many reviews from 2003-2005 Vegas or TCWT many people were negative. It was too theatrical, not enough singing, detracted from the singing, Celine was trying to hard, she faded into the background. And for TCWTV many people Made comments such as shes changed since vegas, its too theatrical, shes turned into “celine barbie” its so very different from old Celine, and not in a positive light. Giving that many people scored TCWT a 3 * if not 2 *.

 

Of course there were some positive reviews but those mainly revolved around the aspect of *singing*

 

Maybe consider the fact that a large chunk of my family and people i know saw the Manchester show in 2008 and said Celine was great but didn’t enjoy the theatrical aspects, but nice try. Think a lil harder next time

I hope not, these songs are getting boring and boring by the minute, maybe she0ll do a medly with BYLM, IACBTM, TPOL and we can kill 3 ongs with one stone...

I REALLY wish since she is more in control of the creative process, she'll do a more "SIDE B" setlist, like Kylie Minogue once did...but after seeing the cities and venues she'll be hitting...is not meant for the hardcore fans we are HARDLY listen to....(maybe the last french tours were more fan-oriented) we might get a surprise here and there...but I wouldn't be surprised if she did the EXACT setlist written here...YAWN

I have to disagree, we don’t need IDAN, BATB, of I’m Alive... all three were in her last major tour and while I agree that people like them, I don’t feel like they’ll be upset if they aren’t there; especially BATB, I understand it’s a classic but let’s have a modern tour away from Disney fairytale songs

You’re not thinking like a casual Celine listener. You’re thinking like a hardcore fan who posts (probably) daily on a Celine Dion message board. I, too, would rather have “You And I” and “Sorry For Love,” but the majority of the concertgoers won’t give two sh!ts about songs like those if all the biggies aren’t there alongside them. That includes: “I Drove All Night,” “Beauty And The Beast,” and “I’m Alive.”

When I was at the Vegas show in Jan I was front row with a high roller next to me. He started talking to me and he said he was most looking forward to I’m Alive. And his arms were waving and he badly wanted to stand up the second the song started. Casual fans do love it.
