True. What i always do for any artist, i monitor the situation with each show on the tour to get the feel if this is something that's more successful day of, 2 days before, 3 days before, or sometimes unfortunately not at all.

 

Ill probably buy Cleveland and columbus during the presale since they are early in the tour (though im also trying to do the next two shows louisville and Cincinnati) which ill literally be eyeballing tickets as soon as those other two are over because things move fast.

 

It is really sad how difficult it's become to buy tickets without a ridiculous hassle and multiple scams aimed at getting hundreds extra out.

 

I know you have a lot of experience with buying last minute tickets.... where do you usually buy them from and how much do you usually end up paying? I'm thinking about doing that for a couple shows that are further from me but within a day of driving. Wondering what your tricks are

Man... 55 total dates ALREADY. Good to see that shes really taking her time with this tour. She could (theoretically) blast through them from September to January but im glad shes taking her time. I feel next to be announced will be Europe and a small SAmerican leg, then South Africa and then Asia and Oceania.

 

This tour will definitely drag on to early 2021

 

And people complaining there will be no album promo because of the tour...... if you're performing like 6 songs off of a new album and keep mentioning it and the audience like the songs they will buy it, some buy before the concert to learn the new tracks... the tour IS THE BEST promo she can do

Is good that Celine herself has answered to many of the complaints we had here during the last couple of mini tours. Of course she is having a big production now, of course she is not bringing the Vegas show to a 1 or 1.5 year tour. She did it for a 5 weeks tour but not for one that will probably end up with 150 dates. I hope it is clear now that for a mini tour of 20 dates is not worth a big production investment...

I still buy them from ticketmaster, with maybe one exception ill get to in a bit.

 

Monitoring the other shows closely day by day checking and seeing what gets released and when.

 

When tickets go on sale, only a small fraction of the 20,000 seats are released. TM does this for a variety of reasons. The initial blocks of seats they'll sell on opening sale day is not the best seats, but they know on general sale day they'll sell the most.

 

The main thing i save money on buy waiting til the end is i ensure i am paying face value. Ticketmaster has this thing called platinum seating which prices tickets by demand. It's there way of saying. "The artist wants 200, but since this is a hot item we will tag on 300 additional." Sadly this is a total scam and it is most frustrating of all.

 

It's also possible that waiting will allow certain seats that were VIP to be sold as a standard ticket.

 

As for the team celine pre-sale, there may or may not be amazing selection seat wise...but there is likely going to be seats available there that otherwise on the general sale will be classified as "platinum"

 

When the tickets do go on sale, im going to buy in the presale the cleveland and columbus shows because they are like the 2nd and 3rd US shows. That way i can SOMEWHAT play this "game" with a slight bit of ease for the first two shows. I've decided one of these ill splurge on a VIP to have the merch crap for one, and the other ill probably buy generic seats.

 

The other shows i plan on attending i will wait for tickets that are held hostage by ticketmasters platinum crap to be released back to face value.

 

For my own show indianapolis, i am considering going directly to the venue box office on friday to check things out. I do know that buying a ticket this way it is approximately 30 bucks cheaper as the fees ticketmaster tacks on for processing are ELIMINATED when buying direct from the box office. Naturally, I'm most excited to see if the venue box office obtains a selection of seats at face value or if they play along to Ticketmaster's deceptive platinum ways too.

 

It's a total game!!! Hope this helps
