CelinesDIVO5 Posted October 18, 2019 at 04:53 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 04:53 PM Beg to differ. When I saw the LTAL tour that was definitely a “bathroom break” song. Can’t stomach it. Can’t believe they actually named an album after it. Eeeek. The opening number was a bathroom break song?? 5 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

CelinesDIVO5 Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:01 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:01 PM Or a “get beers” song. Crazy to me that someone would walk out of a show during the opening number. 6 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
smw Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:02 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:02 PM God, no. Definitely NOT missed. I like that song! It was a good concert opener for that time in her career. That song clearly made an impact on Celine — she’ll randomly sing snippets of it from time to time unlike so many other album cuts. I think it’s a fantastic album title too. Although she initially wanted to name that album The Reason, right? IACBTMN is growing on me as this tour’s opener. I almost wish she’d just sing those first teaser lines from it but then go into another song like LCMM. Then save IACBTMN for later in the show. 2 Quote
scielle Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:04 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:04 PM Crazy to me that someone would walk out of a show during the opening number.Take it figuratively.I don’t have high tolerance for lyrical cheese and LTAL is a major culprit. Quote

CelinesDIVO5 Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:07 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 05:07 PM Sorry, double post. I actually find the lyrics much less banal than most of her ballads, and honestly it still holds a message that is very much needed in today’s social and political climate. 5 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

And it's not a screaming fest, so it would be a great number for her to rest her vocals. 2 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

smw Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:01 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:01 PM I bet they at least rehearsed Water From The Moon even if it didn’t make the cut tonight. It’d be so fun to see her perform that one again! And it could have some fun visuals. But I’m still praying for IYAMT! 1 Quote

Agreed, and whilst WFTM has the “And I Triiiiiiiiiiied” bit, its only a C#, which is the same belt she hits in TT... so still within her range and id have loved to see her attempt it 26 years later, however i agree that they maybe rehearsed it and it didnt make it Quote
emi&celine Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:09 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:09 PM No one misses Let’s Talk About Love? Maybe she can add this from her setlist I do miss a lot of songs from the LTAL album: LTAL, Immortality, Tell Him, ... 4 Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:13 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 06:13 PM After looking at the Francophone set list - where she didn't go back into the back catalogue at all, I'm trying to have low expectations for her back catalogue songs in the anglo show. I was hoping seeing her look at the LA VOIX DU BON DIEU album that she'd think "hey! what about one of these songs?" Why do the Marnay songs always get forgotten? 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Can't believe they actually named an album after it. Eeeek. I think they named the album after it because it’s a very fitting title that actually sets a theme for the album. Other examples are “Dion chante plamondon”, “Celine Dion”, “The Colour of My Love”, “All the Way”, “A New Day Has Come”, “1 fille & 4 types”, “Miracle”, “D’elles”, “Taking Chances”, “Encore un soir” and “Courage”. This is why I don’t understand random album titles like “Unison”, “D’eux”, “Falling into You”, “S’il suffisait d’aimer” or “Loved Me Back to Life”. Off topic: this is why I would have preferred Mariah to name her album “Portrait” instead of “Caution”. 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

I think she would even attempt the improvised E5s that she did in 1993. Quote The best is yet to come...

I think the following songs have a solid chance of being included: - Imperfections- Ashes- Love Can Move Mountains- That’s the Way It Is- I Drove All Night- To Love You More- Water from the Moon- Dreamin’ of You- Taking Chances- Somebody Loves Somebody - Loved Me Back to Life (maybe, just because it fits the theme well and it is pretty iconic by now) 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

Off topic: this is why I would have preferred Mariah to name her album “Portrait” instead of “Caution”. Falling Into You and S'il suffisait d'aimer are not random album titles. And "D'eux" plays with the word "deux" in two ways, one meaning "two" (deux in French) and at the same time with the reference to "d'eux", meaning "from them" = from Céline and Jean-Jacques, so definitely this title was a witty one Edited October 18, 2019 at 07:16 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... AdrienneM Posted October 18, 2019 at 07:13 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 07:13 PM (edited) That statgement is exagerated. It is 90% sold out. Absolutely not. Going on the rocket mortgage fieldhouse site, there are over 1,000 tickets left, with a rough capacity of 14,250, thats 91% yes, but thats irrelevant, its the fact that most of the empty seats are whole rows if not almost half a section at a time, it’ll *look* bad Edited October 18, 2019 at 07:13 PM by AdrienneM Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted October 18, 2019 at 07:17 PM Posted October 18, 2019 at 07:17 PM having whole rows and sections empty is just a part of the game now. Scalpers think they can get a good deal, and then this happens. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
