FYI - Celine's IG now has the Celinununu "new collection" story.

I love Celine, but she says that this clothing line is to let your child show their individuality.....all the clothes look the same! Colorless and all the same drab detailing. Enough!

I think the idea is to not force “boy” things on boys nor “girl” things on girls. However, I agree, there are plenty of gender neutral colors like yellow and green that could be more present in the line.

I still very much respect that Celine’svso open minded and championing for kids who might be struggling with their gender.

Celine only speaks up when she’s truly passionate about a subject — so this clearly means a great deal to her and I imagine her twins are the biggest reason.

I also think lots of the clothes are cute! We’re just so used to kids cheesy-smiling in ad campaign pictures instead of these “neutral” face poses for “neutral” clothing.

I'm so proud of Celine for doing Celinununun.

I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a Celine purse or a Celine tour shirt or any of that other tacky merch that's on offer - but would definitely buy Celinununu gear for any kids in my life.

That graphic's great for promo. But putting it on a t-shirt? Um... don't think so.

(Also, kid looks super unimpressed to be wearing it :giggle: )

I get what they’re doing, but they could at least get a hint of a smile on the kids’ faces :s children are full of the joys of life. They shouldn’t know somber and emo

64 bucks for baggy shorts for kids. Insane. Again glad she’s branching out but I just can’t get into it. So to be gender neutral you have to look so unhappy? Help me understand that. I guess they they are saying it’s all about the clothes and not the models? Might as well use manikins. Oh well, just my thoughts.

Can we just stop the discussion about the prize and how the kids on the pictures look?!

There is a whole marketing team behind this and the have a certain 'look'

Just like models on runway have a certain look, and the campaign pictures of Zara, HM have a certain look.

They choose this one, get over it.

Yes, it's the clothes that are gender-neutral, meaning they stray away from the typical blue for boys, pink for girls concept. You can look at the models and infer that they're unhappy, but I think it's more about giving our youth more freedom of expression. To me, they look more rebellious than unhappy. Also, many popular clothing companies for young adults including ASOS and Urban Outfitters feature models with more serious or "unhappy" looking faces. In my opinion, it's more authentic and realistic for Celinununu to advertise their products in such a way. Plus, gray tones are really in nowadays. Like the new shirt says, it's "futuristic!" :-D

Agreed, it's great as promo -- better than a lot of the official merch -- but I cannot imagine kids being excited about wearing a t-shirt with Celine Dion's face on it. Now, if they could translate this sort of aesthetic into tour merchandise and promo...

I think it's a great way to introduce her to kids or younger generation. When I was kid, I have a tshirt with a picture of hongkong actor printed on, I didn't know who he was, but then I learn that he's an actor, I became a fans, and following his career for sometimes.

But no matter what their mission is, I think that's not a problem for us, and the design is pretty cool in my opinion.

Well, one of her twins was gallivanting around Paris in a Kurt Cobain t-shirt, so you might have a point.

There are pictures where the kids are smiling and laughing and just being kids. If you want to see them they're on the Celinununu ig. They chose to promote the brand this way.

And why do they use black and white when there are other gender neutral colors. Well, imo, what's the point of starting a brand that'll be just like all the others? They want to be more different, have an edge, and offer things no other brand has.

And as we can see, they are slowly adding in more colors.

I think she should expand to an adult line in the future. I would buy.
