Lise Payette, the woman responsible for what is probably the most iconic and raw Celine interview, has passed away.

l personally also happen to think her song, Je cherch l'ombre, is the best thing on d'Elles.

Yeah... Celine has had to do a lot of RIP messages lately.

I guess it goes with the territory of always having been the youngest. For pretty much her entire life, she was surrounded by people much older than her.

Hence the comment she once made - it was in one of those bio books, not sure which - that she's afraid of being the "flower that loses all its petals". :down:

Yeah, it really is perplexing. At this point, it's kind of a joke to have a Canadian Music Hall of Fame without her in it!

 

Maybe there's some bad blood between her and the Junos?

She hasn't been there since 1999 and she hasn't won any since then, either, even for the French albums! (https://en.wikipedia...ion#Juno_Awards) And, it seems most of the awards she's been nominated lately are those based (entirely or partially) on sales, rather than "artistic merit", so they can't not nominate her since numbers don't lie...

Don't want to start any rumours - but makes you wonder!

Yes. It's her. This is @ Manko a restaurant and bar where on Fridays and Saturdays (if I remember right) there's Burlesque Cabaret.

She went there with Pepe and Matthieu last year in July, wearing this sexy outfit.

Seems to be there is alot more than the "clean-queen-image" to her. :giggle: :devilwave:

What about the Jason Derulo charity event? Did Celine actually end up going? I hope we get pics soon. Keeping my fingers crossed that we have pics from that Jason Derulo event later on tonight, or tomorrow and that Celine also attends the Stand Up To Cancer Telethon tonight! :-D

Because shes in the middle of a restrictive vegas contract and has just finished a tour and is finally getting an actual break this year (Jan to May 2018 was nothing but worrying about surgery and illness and tour prep) i thought that was kind of self explanatory

I don't think it's self-explanatory at all and I don't think any of those things preclude her to doing inventive things with her release promos. Point stands.

Ah sorry. I thought you meant that celine should just pop up in different locations constantly and do mini shows.... sorry.

 

 

But my point still stands in a way, her US promo is extremely restricted as is, i believe, english territories in Canada so shes very limited in that sense. And tbh Celine has found a strategy that works for her, 2-3 tv shows in the UK, 2-3 morning shows in the US, 2-3 late night shows in the US and if at all possible a mini tour. This works well for Celine and has done for every album EXCEPT LMBTL which was for obvious reasons

A little while ago, I saw a Dutch fan asking when the tickets went on sale for the LTAL tour in Amsterdam.

I don't remember in which topic it was, so I'll post it here...

 

I found my ticket and I bought it on October 24th, 1998 9.04 AM, 4 minutes after they went on sale! haha
