That is a Bette Midler song. I do not think Celine has covered it but nothing is ever really impossible with her or in Vegas.

So my cousin was at the Toyota Center today where Celine performed in Houston and she found this picture of her on a mural/wallpaper of performers in the arena!

she did cover it actually. I heard her version about three or five years ago...

 

anyway, i thought Gladys Knight's version of the song is the best one..

For me, every night for her is a return and a comeback all at once. I would also like to know that though. I was having a night from Hell about that time last night, but still trying to think of her. Anyone else have any weird traditions they do when they know she will be singing on a particular night?

I just can't help it, I wish I was there and that I could help her "in some small way."

And, as far as I Knew I loved You, I also love that song and it amazes me every time as if it's the first time all over again. But, as I have told many of you, that is a regular occurance with her!

I was just listening to Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond sing "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" and I thought "Barbara sounds a lot like Celine on this song". It help me understand a little more the influence Barbara has had on Celine stylistically and vocally.

 

Speaking of Celine, she's on now singing "Nothings Broken But My Heart". :)

so here is a random thought. Celine sings "Ammore Annascunnuto" on A New Day Live in Las Vegas DVD. My question is where can I find a recording of that song and not on youtube or whatever. I really like that song and was surprised that it's not on any of her albums!!! what gives? It's a beautiful song granted I don't know what she is singing about when I watch the DVD sometimes I just play that one song over and over again and then it will get stuck in my head for days....not that I mind in the least. :)
