Yup, the Celine Archives has to be insane, and I'm sure there's a handful of us on here who would go on a rampage if we had access to it. :eek:

 

:shifty: Oh yeah !! :giggle: Imagine all the shows, rehearsals, soundchecks, etc that we're missing... Actually, there are a lot of things here on the forum that I don't have, so I don't even want to think how many things are out there without being discovered !! :whee:

Imagine how crazy we would have went if we would have known about the Brunei concert. Luckily I joined the week it was released, so that was not an issue for myself, but some here waited months upon hearing about it. Imagine if that wait was the full 11 years knowing it existed. Celine has performed so many private events, I'd just love to see all the footage. It's better than the normal concerts.

This is where my newness shows through once again as I don't even know what the Brunei concert is, is that a country or something that she performed in? I'm confused, again.

I don't know about her private concerts, but I think her "public" ones are good, to. And I don't think she sings in robot mode.

For me, just because songs sound exactly the same two nights in a row isn't good enough evidence that she-s lipping a song. I sing a song two days in a row and it is possible that it could come out soinding the same way. Especially if you've been singing it for 10+ years like she has.

Anyway, let's see, one of my favorite performances has to be from the All The way compilation when it showed her singing Because You Loved me. She asked them to sing with her but they wouldn't/couldn't. She had them use little flashlights and then asked her lighting director to shine the light on her audience because that's just who she is. When they did not sing with her, she teasingly turned her back on them, and they thought they'd lost her but then she came back, got them to try again and they finally sang with her. This from a sighted friend's description. that's just one of them, I am sure I have more. Like the show I went to...awwwwww...darn I want to go again! Never been to Vegas, but I will somehow!

Hi Christina !!! Well, when we talk about the Brunei Concert, we're talking about a private performance that Celine did for Brunei's Royal family back in 1997...

Oh the dreaded lip-syncing discussion. I seriously am tempted to start a topic on lip-syncing. I for one find it to be an intriguing topic, it's fun figuring out which performances are lipped because celine's tech people work ever so hard to hide it haha

I don't find it nessesary to see which songs were lipped and not, cause we know the power of Celine's voice and her kind heart, which is all that matters.

I bet lil RC made her something lol. And the babies, well, they can't really give her anything, but the prescence of babies is a present in itself. They are soooo cute :D

Haha! I never thought to consider that as a jazz song! I LOVE that song! It's so feel good! I find myself humming it without even realizing sometimes! But then again, I do that with alot of Celine songs! :whistling:

Kenny G accompanies her on saxophone in that song so i just consider it to be jazz. But yay, another person who loves it! i don't feel so alone now haha
