Everyone.

 

They say it's terrible, that they can't believe it was released, how it's pathetic that there is only one english CD and it's a vocally terrible one, etc....

 

And SOL isn't controversial....people just differ in their opinions in whether or not they like it. She did to it what she has been doing with LCMM the last 10 years....she makes it a performance where she has fun...she loosens up...and people have the same reaction to this that they do for the performances of LCMM from the vegas era.

Tyler: Sorry to turn the knife into the wound, but the problem is that when I listen to her last live CDs/DVDs I don't have the impression that I am listening to the "greatest singer in the world"! That's the MAIN problem :ermm:

The Taking chances tour DVD/CD is absolutely NOT representative of the tour!

great! i thought i was crazy.... cause i went on youtube to find 90210 songs and coudn't find anything that resembles to ILIOOTQ, but everytime i listen to that song, i see flashbacks of that show.... ^_^

I was just wondering, for Celine's new english album which will eventually come out will there likely be a world tour? I'm from the UK and I'm a fairly new fan and I really want to see her (but I haven't got enough money for the las vegas live lol).

 

 

I highly dought there will be a tour for atleast 5 or 6 years, maybe longer. Celine has a 3 year contract with Vegas, but i know she will probably extend it like she did the first time.

 

Celine is having twins so she will be busy for a long time and she will want them to have a stable upbringing like Rene Charles had, so she will probably be doing her Vegas show until the twins are older.

 

The good news is, you will have time to save up your money for when Celine does decide to tour again. :)

 

When that day comes you will appreciate it even more cuz you had to wait so long and that will make the experience even more special. :)

I have to agree with Tyler, not all the songs on the ''A New Day...'' CD are bad. The only horrible ones are 'I'm Alive'', Fever and ''Because You Loved Me''. I absolutely love ''Et Je T'Aime Encore''. It is as good as the CD version.

Yes....and really...BYLM hasn't sounded good since the 90's anyway... Fever is yet another example of Celine always sounding nasal when she sings low notes (Regardless of the song)....and IA is like LCMM, it's just hit or miss each time..... everything else seemed fine.

Okay, so I just got the Vegas CD. I don't know why it has been criticized so much....it's not that terrible!

 

well I guess you have to see it in that time frame... compare ANDHC with this album! where did her voice go?! I still can't believe they choose to release that album! She didn't sound good, not her usual self... I think if they rerecorded it 6 months later, it would have been a zillion times better!

 

but I agree with you on these:

 

Nature Boy - we only have 2-3 other live performances of this song and this isn't far off from those by any means

I'm Alive - terrible. Maybe this is the justification.

I've Got The World On A String - 10x better than the opening night performance. The transition to the playback wasn't noticeable and it was a really good performance.

What A Wonderful World - Also amazing. Held the ending note for a hell of a long time.

Je T'aime Encore - As good as the studio IMO.

 

and I also love IDAN on the album! it's way more energetic than the album version!

 

but I think the worst decisions they made were excluding:

Seduces Me

Ammore Annascunnuto

I Surrender

 

it would have made the album way more interesting!

yeah I totally agree!! it's a big big shame, because most nights Céline was on fire!!!!! but that doesn't shine through on the audio they used for the cd/dvd! :down:

Why though? I don't understand... It's either been too nasal, or I have no clue! I'm afraid she's never been able to sing that song as good as she did in the 90s, like you said. :confused:

It's funny to hear IACBTMN, IDAN, MHWGO with autotune (DVD) and without autotune (CD)

MHWGO sounds better autotuned :bag: :bag: :bag: :shy:

he means that the pitches, the notes, are eased out with the help of a computer. Seriously I don't hear much difference and I don't bother to notice every little change -_-

Yes, I totally agree on the exclusions!! For the most part, the tracklist is fine. We have rare songs such as: WAWW, Fever, At Last, and Nature Boy. And I really don't understand the bitching on TPOL, because it's not even on here. But I definitely wish they could have put on those three songs....at this point in the show AA was not only the full version, but still live....Seduces Me is just great....and I Surrender, although I know it wouldn't have been great as the DVD version, it would have been awesome to have.
