loveyouceline Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:39 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:39 AM I think she did take it, she always says that she loves being called "Mrs Angélil" as she really is his husband - think she just kept the Dion as everyone knows her as Celine DionYes, I also think she likes being called "Mrs Angelil" and some people or may be most people call her in that way. But Celine Dion is the name that the whole world know and I also prefer that name. And I'm sure most of the people like the name Celine Dion instead of Celine Abgelil. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs922.snc4/73590_165568513461072_100000237733148_448778_802415_n.jpg
riobeard11 Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:43 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:43 AM Don't her passports and visas inside the covers of Autour du Monde still say Céline Marie Claudette Dion? No Angélil? I remmeber seeing in 'For Keeps' the little faxes she sent to "Mr. Angélil" from "Mrs. Angélil." Mhmm, her visas don't have Angelil on them. I think the Mrs. Angelil thing is just a cutesy wife type of joke.
Belle Céline Posted April 22, 2010 at 04:00 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 04:00 AM Legally I think it would be Celine Angelil with her middle names included but her stage name is still Celine Dion unless she didn't change her name when she married Rene. It makes sense that she would still go by Dion as that's what everyone knows her as instead of Celine Angelil.I don't think she took Rene's last name. Most Celebrities don't really do that for the reason, like you said, that the name is what they're known for.I know on the photo of her ultrasound thats in For Keeps it says Celine Dion not Celine Angelil, wouldn't she have to use her legal name for medical things? So if she did in fact change her name legally to Celine Angelil I'm guessing it would be on the ultrasound that way too because she would have registered and filled her paper work at the doctors office out that way. Who knows maybe she did change it to Angelil but doesn't use it formally or anything because people know her as Celine Dion not Celine Angelil “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
lindsey22 Posted April 22, 2010 at 05:01 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 05:01 AM her middle names marie and for boys all there names are joseph. its a french canadian tradition in the past
delo3934 Posted April 22, 2010 at 05:31 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 05:31 AM I'm not sure for canada as a whole, but in quebec, women haven't talen their husbands last names since the early 70's due to some changes in law. I know this for a fact cause alot of my cousins are from quebec and they never took their husbands last name. As for Celine's beautiful name, Marie is of course in honor of the Virgin Mary which practically all female born quebec women have, and Claudette of course in honor of her God mother and sister which is also tradition. For the guys, Joseph is used in honor of the virgin mary's husband St Joseph. Quebec is still a very catholic province, so these traditions held strong for centuries.

Jacqui Posted April 22, 2010 at 09:56 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 09:56 AM Celinophalus. No. Not really. I'm still somewhat unclear on whether Angelil is part of her name. I guess it is socially but not legally?
Claudette Posted April 22, 2010 at 11:32 AM Posted April 22, 2010 at 11:32 AM Weird question: Has Celine ever had a belly ring? http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
fyoung98 Posted April 22, 2010 at 01:54 PM Posted April 22, 2010 at 01:54 PM I was on celinedion.com trying to enter the meet and greet sweepstakes contest they have going. It said no purchase was necessary and that you could go to the musictoday website and click enter. I put in the address that they gave but there was no sweepstakes entry form. Anyone else try it or had problems? Anyone find a solution? angelil78 Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:18 PM Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:18 PM Weird question: Has Celine ever had a belly ring? Don't think so
Claudette Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:26 PM Posted April 22, 2010 at 03:26 PM I wonder why not. She has the perfect body to show it off and she likes wearing bikinis when she is swimming and stuff... http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Claudette Posted April 22, 2010 at 04:13 PM Posted April 22, 2010 at 04:13 PM I finally got my order to go through today after weeks of struggling with that figging website. So they enter you in the competition if you pre-order. How do I know if they actually did enter me? http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Jacqui Posted April 23, 2010 at 01:21 AM Posted April 23, 2010 at 01:21 AM I think some people just don't like piercings that much? Even if I wore bikinis, I would never get a belly ring. It's like saying you have a tongue, so why didn't you put a ring in that?
MTJ Posted April 23, 2010 at 06:38 AM Posted April 23, 2010 at 06:38 AM I wonder why not. She has the perfect body to show it off and she likes wearing bikinis when she is swimming and stuff...I think Annie would die!
loveyouceline Posted April 23, 2010 at 07:13 AM Posted April 23, 2010 at 07:13 AM I think my idol artists should be my role model and should have good personal life. And that's why I love Celine. How about your opinion? I really want to know how is the relationship between them. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs922.snc4/73590_165568513461072_100000237733148_448778_802415_n.jpg
Claudette Posted April 23, 2010 at 08:30 AM Posted April 23, 2010 at 08:30 AM Why would Annie die? Personally I think there is nothing wrong with a belly ring. You can have one and still look very classy. Tongue piercings and piercings in other weird places is just wrong. That is unhygienic and gross. I would love to get a belly ring, but I'm too frigging scared. Maybe that is why she also doesn't have one, she is too scared... http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Jacqui Posted April 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM Posted April 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM I don't think there's anything wrong with it either, if that's what you want to do...I just meant that it's not for everyone. Same deal as with tattoos, or certain fashion tends. I heard that it really hurts though.
Sofie Posted April 23, 2010 at 02:46 PM Posted April 23, 2010 at 02:46 PM Yeah I agree. Of course Celine is definately an amazing singer, but like you said, she's a wonderful role model too! I also think it's important that my idol is a good role model and inspiration too. And to me she's the best role model!

EmmaCeline Posted April 23, 2010 at 05:26 PM Posted April 23, 2010 at 05:26 PM I Mean I'm Only 15, but she is definately my role model in all aspects of my life, Career-wise due to her sheer determination and faith and in my personal life for her sincerity and her kindess, celine seems like such a genuine and beautiful person. Such a delicate and caring woman and amazing mum and wife, that's the sort of person i choose to look up to. Someone like celine who has class and dignity and has made a life for herself, that's why i respect and look up to celine as my role model
Moee Posted April 23, 2010 at 05:26 PM Posted April 23, 2010 at 05:26 PM Well, I completely disagree; My life is SEPERATE from the artist I like; I do not idolize Celine; I like her voice, her talent. What I'm worth is seperate from Celine's worth. I don't care about her personal life even if it's clean and healthy life. It would sound a little bit out-of-context but I idolize only God.

I agree with you. I don't believe in idolizing people. I admire the work that Celine does. I admire her talent. I admire her as a person, but I do not nor ever will worship her (that's what you do to an idol, worship it) Like Moee, I only worship God. I understand what you mean though, so don't get me wrong. I think you should be careful about the terminology. She is a role model for a whole lot of people. Her determination, her drive for success, her dedication and loyalty to family, her love of life, her sense of humor, etc are all qualities we should look to and try to model, but we are all different and so should adjust what she does that fits her and her needs to how we live our lives (if that makes sense). You only set yourselves up for disappointment when you idolize a human being. angelil78 Posted April 23, 2010 at 06:25 PM Posted April 23, 2010 at 06:25 PM I do like belly rings if you got the body for it (I don't) But I have heard not so good stuff about it if you become pregnant. The scar gets huge and the ring can fall out. I know that Robin once gave her a gold chain to have around her waist.
Claudette Posted April 23, 2010 at 07:01 PM Posted April 23, 2010 at 07:01 PM (edited) I don't know. I just heard that it hurts like crap, so I don't have the guts to get one. I'll pass out before the even put the thing through the skin. I thought about it a bit today and I think I do have a theory about why she might not have one. Celine has to change costumes and stuff very fast between songs during shows, a belly ring might make things difficult because you have to be very careful with it. It can easy get caught on clothes and stuff and get ripped out. Imagine if she was in the middle of changing and it gets ripped out... outch! It actually happened to my mom's sister. Hers got ripped out and she had to get stitches. If it happens during a show, they might have a big problem, because they will have to stop the show to get Celine sorted and I bet it hurts like crap. My mom sister said that it hurted so bad and she couldn't lie down for weeks after that. So I guess it is just not practical for Celine to have one. I think that that is the same reason why you rarely see her with earrings during a tour. During the TC tour she only had earrings in for the last song. I have never seen her with a belly chain. Is there pictures of that? Edited April 23, 2010 at 07:05 PM by Claudette http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

You only set yourselves up for disappointment when you idolize a human being. But I think it's a normal and natural phenomenon, to have idols. People need other people they can look up to. I don't necessarily mean "worshipping", but just someone they can admire and look up to. It's especially important when you're young! But of course people are different in this, I don't think everyone has the same "need" to have idols. But most people still have someone they admire, in that case it can be their parent, teacher or someone else like that, from "real life", or maybe even God (I on the other hand don't actually quite believe in God as such). http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o419/reamary/1338b390-8604-432c-8a00-e8e1052a92ba.jpgHELSINKI 9.6.2008 - PARIS 26.11.2013 - PARIS 28.6.2016 - STOCKHOLM 17.6.2017 !
