What is the name of Celines piano man? Has he always been the same guy? Since she was very young he looks like he the same in photos? does anyone know, and if so they must know eachother very well by now.. :xmas_smile:

"Mégo" is not exactly a brand of cigarette. It's how we call a "cigarette butt or stub" in french. It's written "mégot" and it became "Mégo"(Claude's nickname). They started calling him that because he smoked a lot at the time and there were many cigarette butts all around his piano :giggle: .

he messed up in Beauty and the Beast in Celine's Memphis concert in 1997. he sounded out of tune, but his high note during the band's presentation was superb.

 

but isn't this an "off-topic" since he's not affiliated to Celine Dion now.

I don't like Terry Bradford. HE SCARES ME!! His face with the huge grin, the ear ring, the dodgy side burns, he just gave me the creeps. :xmasblink:

Well they've been at countless events together so it'd be v surprising if they hadn't- they're a fan of each other. I saw Whitney being interviewed after the WMAs 2004 and the interviewer said about Celine turning up the volume and asking everyone to be quiet and Whitney said "aww I love her"

No, Jenna Glatzer did. But she spent a lot of time interviewing Celine in Vegas to write it. It's a great book!

I saw that Whitney interview too it's true.

And I remember Céline saying back in the 90's that she meet Whitney the first time in a recording studio. Either she was coming in after her, going out and she was next or in another room of the same studio close to where she was recording herself I'm not sure. Anyway Céline said they went and listen to each other's stuff they were recording. Céline thought she was very nice and enjoyed meeting her.

I also think they respect each other very much and I often seen Céline very sad about what was happenning to Whitney and wishing she'd come back strong and wishing her the best.

In certain countries when they showed the 2008 CBS special, they showed an extended version of Eyes on Me with will.i.am with an extra verse or something. Was this version ever uploaded to YouTube?

just wondering, what kind of makeup does celine use? I've seen the photo with all the makeup layed out on her table in AND. I saw some of the NARS brand and some channel.. but surely she has a certain kind she uses to doll up before each show.

IDAN is not an original Celine song, I mean it was written and performanced by Cyndi Lauper, but the diference with the rest is that IDAN is Very up tempo compared to ANDHC or TTWIT, (which it never sounded good when performed it LIVE) plus they gave IDAN a real boost if you thinh the beginning of AND and the Chrysler deal

I've always thought IDAN was a bigger hit then TTWII. Maybe not ANDHC though....:/

it's true I read in My Story my dream that it was during the recording of "All By Myself"

 

David Foster told Celine she had to hit a very high note and told her if you can't do it don't worry about it Whitney is in the next room maybe she can do it. So Celine went for it !!

 

I think it was Rene's plan to have a fight with her too before the recording so Celine went to the studio "all by herself"...when she finished recording the song David knew they had something really special He sent the cassette to Rene who was waiting for Celine back in the hotel with a big hug :)

Well I actually have a question about MHWGO. It's common knowledge that they used her first recording of the song, but that isn't all there is. I mean there's the LTAL version, the Titanic version, and the alternate orchestra version. What I've always assumed is that the Titanic version is what they're talking about with the first demo recording by her, and she afterword sang her own version for LTAL. But where is the alternate version from?

Do you mean the different endings between the Titanic version and LTAL version?

the Titanic soundtrack version is the first real demo she recorded. the one on LTAL is a totally new recording.

I think they needed to rerecord the song, in order to make the final production for a 'real' album, not a soundtrack, sound better :) plus the original demo is a bit too slow and too long for LTAL imo :giggle:

 

 

and about IDAN/ANDHC and TTWII, I think ANDHC was bigger then TTWII and TTWII was bigger then IDAN, at least here in Holland (europe)
