Hello everyone! Since Céline has been charting with different releases all over the years and more recently in Francophone countries, UK and North America, I tought about creating a topic where we could put all kind of info over her chart placing and sales.

Are any of these Billboard charts?? ATW is on the Billboard 200 in the US?

 

Yes! All The Way is not on the BB200 (mainly driven by streaming numbers and digital songs sales now!) but well on the Billboard Top Albums Sales chart A sales-only (physical + digital) chart...like the BB200 used to be until late 2014.

 

These Are Special Times reached the Top 40 last Christmas season on that sales chart!

The power of a tv performace...

 

In a popular Dutch talkshow a singer sang his 'dream' duet on Tuesday, that was MHWGO with Céline. They showed the performance of AND on the screens, he sang along live.

 

The day after Heart Will Go On' was #88 oniTunes and My Love - Essential Collection came from nowhere on #65!

No no, the numbers you mentioned were the positions on the Top albums sales chart (physical + digital). I still haven't got Céline's positions for this week's chart. I'll post them as soon as I get them ;-)

 

What I posted this morning (#37 and #120) are the places on the Physical albums chart only (Céline's strongest field as always) :-)

I was just looking at the chart performance of My Love in the UK and I found those stats in the physical albums chart for the recent years:

It seems it's having a better and earlier start this year (for St Valentine's Day). It did clearly have a boost last year dur to her successful tour. This year I'm afraid the album won't enjoy the same success unless Céline releases her new album soon at the right time or at least drop a brand new single in the upcoming weeks. Fingers crossed...

As of last year (before her UK tour), the album had sold over 950.000 if I remember correctly!

The last sales number we had for the album was 1,318,223 and that was as of the end of 2008 - we then had My Love get released. I don't imagine it's at more than 1.35 million now.

Yes you’re right! « My Love » kinda killed « All The Way » in Europe and especially in the UK and Ireland where it often appears in the chart. « My Love » is currently at £5 on Amazon uk!

 

In the US though « All The Way » seems to remain the compilation people rather buy. It did chart on the Top Albums sales for a couple of weeks last months.

^ It only troubled the US chart though as there was a big sale on at mass merchants - retailers clearing through old stock.

 

Celine's catalog in the US is dead - she only sold 200,000 albums across an 18 month period according to a last update.
