FIY, Think Twice, TFTEISYF never became hits in the Philippines. ANDHC was not released here. In its place, HYEBIL was released here that time. Stand By Your Side was also released here in place of IDAN. As for LMBTL, never heard it once on the radio.

 

 

And ?? This release is based on hits in the whole touring area. Not just the phillipines. Thats why it includes certain tracks which were popular in certain areas

I still don't think that this compilation reflects the setlist for the tour. The fact that LCMM is missing and RDMH is a bonus track on one version when they are undoubtedly going to be part of the setlist makes me think that. I was not talking about the album. I was talking about the setlist. Go back to the question from where this discussion stemmed: "Do you guys think the songlist from The best so far.. will be the setlist for the tour?"

 

Most of the songs from this album would probably make it to the Asia setlist. I'm not saying the songs I singled out above WON'T make it, I'm just saying they were not big hits in this part of the world. FYI, It's not only in the Philippines that FIY was not a big hit, it wasn't big also in other Asian countries. It really just took off in Oceania i.e. Australia/New Zealand. Even Think Twice was not big in Asia.

 

So actually, you're statement that "this release is based on hits IN THE WHOLE touring area" is not entirely accurate. FIY, TT, FEISYF all didn't make it big in this region.

Yes, mainly (regional/Asian) TV media [which our local channels carry] played those songs. But Sony Philippines did not release them to local radio, so it was neither played nor entered the local charts...

The concert will be great no matter what, she will sing her most popular songs but I seriously doubt she will sing xx song in Indonesia because it was popular there and zz song in Thailand because it was popular there. I think she will have the same set list for Asia.

 

And when you say, "but she said..." Céline says a LOT of stuff.

 

I do hope for you all that are attending the concerts in Asia that your wishes do come true, I really do since I'd love to see her sing songs she rarely sings live. But I just don't want you to get your hopes to high.

They’ll be the usual staples of a Celine concert. But hope they’ll be a couple of songs thrown in there that she’s either never performed live or hasn’t for many years. And maybe one new song from the next album if it’s possible. So 90% normal, 10% OMG moments 😂 #realistic

I agree, those waiting this to be an anti-tour or full of new songs I suggest stepping out of the bubble asap. The tour will probably be 60-70% of what she performed last tour, plus a new medley with a couple of new/rare/never performed before songs of her repertoire (hopefully), the new single Ashes, and maybe *fingers crossed* the premiere of a new song from the English album. But just maybe.

Definitely. And she deserves to spend time with the kids while she’s there etc. You only get one mum. And not every kid the twins age get to see Asia etc! If there’s more shows there’s more pressure to watch her voice etc. Then after the tour there’ll hopefully be you know what (album release) with a bit of promo etc. Then I hope she has a few weeks off, either straight after the tour, or before Vegas resumes.

Team Celine?

 

She's a grown woman who makes her own choices.

I don't understand the recurring insinuation by some that she's TC's/ Sony's/ Caesar's/ Rene's pawn. Or Law's dress-up doll.

She is very clearly a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and what she believes and isn't afraid to say so regardless of what people might think. She has proven it on countless occasions.
