The hotel near SICC are fully booked. Before announcements there are available rooms, but few hours after announcement there are no available room anymore. The ticket concert are not avaialable yet. The Hotel I'm talking about is Haris Sentul hotel, only 300 meters away from the concert venue.

I don't recall Spain being on the list for the TC world tour?

It was never officially confirmed because negotiations never came to fruition, but Sony Music and her promoter were in negotiations to bring her either to Madrid or to the Expo 2008 in Zaragoza during the summer, as part of the music shows.

The other dates in 1996 and 1999, they were officially announced in the FIY tour book and leaflets in her albums of 1998 for Barcelona, respectively.

I find the timing of this press conference very strange. Celine just cancelled shows for having inflammation in her throat and now she's talking her head off. :wtf:

Isn't she still recovering? I guess this means she's all better now, but still?? Very strange, because usually Celine would never be talking or doing interviews like this right after being sick.

Well you have to take into account that these things (press conferences, announcements) are planned way in advance. There's so many parties involved and so many stuff depending on decisions like these. Céline being ill is just very unfortunately timing, but sometimes "the show must go on".

These reporters flew in across the world for this (and probably had to fly back today already) and everything was set in stone for the announcement today, so it couldn't simply be postponed (unless Céline could barely get out of bed or something). Sometimes public figures just need to "bite it" and get on with it, because of certain (and big) responsibilities.

I'm really happy for the asian fans. I hope she beats everything she has done since 2016 and 2017 and she nails it with this tour, both musically and artistically. Since it's an English-speaking tour, she can and MUST rehearse lots of different (and new) songs to surprise the audiences!

She can take a lot of chances now, with all those songs fans and she herself misses to perform or has never performed, it's now or never!

Money calls money dear! There's a lot of money at stake now and if a press conference to announce a tour was arranged for Wednesday, she surely could not cancel that! That meeting with the press and media from Asian countries must have been arranged since weeks ago.

You have a good point. These interviews were probably planned awhile ago and I understand that interviewers travel from all over and certain things just can't be avoided sometimes. It's really unfortunate timing, but I guess this is a good sign that Celine clearly isn't doing bad with her virus and it wasn't an extreme situation with her voice this time around. It gives me piece of mind in knowing that she is doing okay.

Launching a Celine Dion tour. Making those posters, online advertisement, tv commercials... everything!

Then how come they never succeed making this look good, or at least professional?

2 years of (unreleased) tour footage and then using concert clips that are 10 year old!

What is that banner and promo material? Seriously not 1 new picture there to find using for 2018, other than Live 2017?

And editing that new background.. my graphical design intern does a better job than that...

The only reason I can think of using Taking Chances World Tour footage, is that they bring out some dancers again...

Buy hey, that would mean they have thought this through...

Same tour title "Live 201X", same fonts, same poster and picture used for three years, old video footage from 10 years ago... and wait for the same songs in the concerts? It can't be wrong when it stays the same in Céline world! :giggle:

But yet she still gets crowds in her concerts, and yet she will probably have several sold-outs. Somehow it's still working, despite not having new music, despite releasing albums every 5 years now. Besides her voice, it must be her personality and powerful charisma :wub: . Certainly it's not her innovation and creativity!

I am a little startled by the prices. Which normal worker can afford these tickets. The income in these countries is very low, is not it? So you will only see a certain clientele at the concerts. The very deserving people.

I thought in Thailand they had some good average incomes?

Anyway those highest prices listed probably include the crazy (and futile) VIP packages. Being a VIP Céline fan in her shows has never been so expensive, and so useless at the same time, since everyone wants a M&G with her, but they don't include that chance anymore (until now).

I have been in the best mood all day knowing there’s every chance she’s on her way to Australia in August! So curious where she will perform, which venues (as in all Australian capital cities probably like most places, it makes a statement when an artist books a particular venue) and most importantly, who of my friends will be coming and how much will the best ticket be?! EXCITEMENT!!

Side note: it’ll be interesting that they’ve committed to their current branding and imagery but if a new album comes out before the tour, will it look strange that it’s not called the “name of album” tour.

That would be the only thing I could complain right now, the lack of creativity with these tours.

Just give it a name, just pick a song or whatever.

Not just change the year or use pictures from 4 years ago.

So curious where she will perform, which venues (as in all Australian capital cities probably like most places, it makes a statement when an artist books a particular venue) and most importantly, who of my friends will be coming and how much will the best ticket be?! EXCITEMENT!!
