ANDHC was also #2 in Portugal. ;)

I would love to see Celine here!

 

i thought too, but not sure

 

anyway she is the #2 artist in our beautiful country, because Amalia is #1 :P

ANDHC was #2 for one week and several weeks #3. It sold very well in Portugal.

I believe Celine only had two #1 in Portugal: Titanic OST and "My Heart Will Go On" single. She was huge from TCOML until ANDHC, than vanished from Portuguese radios and top of the charts. :(

Now she's being talked about here because her fashionable looks. I hope the new English album will bring us a #1 album and her songs playing on radio again. ;)

Many of the reviews are mentioning At Seventeen as a highlight of the show I see. Unpopular opinion on this board, but I totally agree. I think the new arrangement is gorgeous (Scott, have I told you that I love you?) and you can always tell that the song really hits home for her...

Absolutely agree. I think it's the best thing about this current iteration of the show.

The string medley in general is great. Id rather she perform that in vegas than the ANDHC/IA/TTWII medley. I lurveeee the string version of ANDHC and I completely lurveeee Unison its amazing.

I think the Sydney Morning Herald piece was well balanced.

He said BYLM & IACBTMN lacked emotions... and those are lipsynced. Kinda on point!

 

The Strind Medley REALLY is a highlight of the show. Ok, At 17 is a bit boring. I agree. But she really interprets the lyrics as the journalist says. She relates to them. ANDHC is beautiful, I always loved the ballad version on the album.

And Unison. Who would have imagined she'd bring back this one? This version is so fresh, so modern. Kinda remind me of the french group L.E.J.

 

He finishes his article by saying Celine "proved herself an icon to rival the King". What a high praise!

Come on guys, nothing is perfect. Even Celine, who is near! ;)

I find him very objective.

Completely, totally 1000 percent agree with this, also because TTWII and IA need to be done IN FULL and UNISON is a good old throwback song to her very first ever English album that NEEDS to keep being done after the tour ends and when she returns to LV!

She's so patient and calm. I would completely panic in situations like this. Feels so claustrophobic just watching it, and this isn't even close to how completely she gets swarmed most of the time.

I would reconsider the term "huge" and "big" if I were you.

 

 

So ANDHC selling 13 MILLION copies ww isng big ??? Or TC selling 5 million ? Or LMBTL selling 1 million just physical, not counting around 1 million digital purchases.

 

And Ashes getting 33 million views in a couple weeks and getting her a #1 on the billboard charts ???

28th.

 

Also the stage in Sydney at least was much smaller than it seems on video. Like from centre stage to her touching the piano is about 3 steps. In Vegas it felt a lot bigger. So this whole “intimate” idea of the Celine show in LV seems to work much better on tour. In Vegas it feels so sparse just having the musicians. Brisbane venue is about 7000 less people capacity than Sydney so keen to see. I am 7th row for that one so shall talk more pics and video :)

Well, she hasn't done any that we know of.

I wouldn't be surprised if she pre-taped some to be used for the next album release (whenever that might be....)

There was at least one day when I thought - judging by her outfit, and the context of some of the photos that circulated that day - that it looks like she's doing an interview.

And I do hope that is the case. It's been so long since we've really heard from her, and so much has happened.

This might sound funny, but I kinda love that she is probably doing interviews about the album without us knowing. It means the album exists, it has a release date most likely and she’s up there singing her classics but she knows there are 12-16 (guessing) new Celine songs she has yet to showcase to her fans...

 

And I stand by my guess that she will unveil a new track in Auckland on the last night!

 

Sorry I will comment a lot in the next day or two as CELINE IS IN MY CITY!!
