after all the hype of celine concert in Asia and Australia .....hopefully celine went let us wait long on the most anticipated English album of the year .....as it should be fall release that I read from this forum.

 

till then we will have debate on how much I love the new celine Dion and how bad I hate the new celine Dion.....lol

 

no matter love or hatred ....we all still come back here in forum to share our thought ...which is the power of celine over decades that keeping all fans together and engage.

I realize one strange thing....the concert wardrobe look ugly on Las Vegas stage but it look great during the tour .....could it be the overall setting and ambiance lighting?

 

I particularly love the pink dress during MHWGO which I hate it when she debut the tour wardrobe collection in Vegas.

 

2 more days to scream my lung out for celine in Bangkok.....wish I could bump into her in person

 

 

because i think las Vegas has a dull stage. The tour setup is way more exciting. More lights and light effects, bigger stage (wider). Overall i think the Vegas show looks boring because of way too much empty space, no spectacular light effects, just dull. And for a show that wants to cater fans and nonfans, the tour setlist is way more exciting and i think will appeal in Vegas more than the current setlist. People know her hits and the Vegas show does not have enough of them.

I was just looking at the upcoming concerts and their venues and the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney is really big! and look at how high those seats are! How can you still see her from that heigth and distance...

esspecially Vegas is the perfect place to have huge stagepieces

 

like this..i liked this soooo much

 

or sing Mhwgo at a the bow of the ship, just like in the video,

think twice in a warm desert set...you get what i mean - i want the wow factor. Just wearing expensive dresses and an orchestra on white boxes and a screen is not enough imo.

On tour with these outfits, this huge stage with perfect lights and projections is just perfect for touring. But Vegas is a static show. It does not have to travel, so do something with that.

I know this is off topic but shania has like 38 shows left (world tour) that’s a lot . I was planning on going to one of her concerts but I decided not to I heard mixed reviews about her show plus I kind of waited last minute.

I watched her Vegas show DVD...I thought she was terribly boring as a singular performer. I feel the show itself overshadowed her. The production, dancers and back up singers were much more entertaining than Shania herself; which made me sad because her music has so much sass and attitude. I feel like she doesn’t convey that on stage.

I’ve been to Qudos many times. It is huge so within D reserve (cheapest ticket category) and even some parts of C reserve, you’ll need binoculars unless your happy looking at the big projector screens. B reserve is not too bad.

 

What’s really interesting to me though is that there’s a huge difference between floor seats and those within the upper tiered sections of A reserve. So $400 for a ticket in the upper tiered A reserve sections is very steep.

 

For me personally, it is frustrating sitting that far away from the stage since it significantly reduces my enjoyment of the show. But then again that’s probably because I go to so many of them and have had the taste that a good seat brings.

 

Another problem with the Qudos is the sound since it’s too big. I really really hope there will be good sound engineers working at Celine’s shows since the last time we were there for Chic and Lionel Richie the sound guys did a terrible job.

Without derailing this thread too much, the setlist is what stopped me from seeing her. I can deal with the “required” songs, but she chose to ignore many of the best songs from “NOW.” I can’t tell you how many people I saw who were pissed “Home Now,” “We Got Something They Don’t,” “All In All,” “Where Do You Think You’re Going” and/or “Roll Me On The River” weren’t part of the tour.
