I completely agree that Celine knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she sat in front of that window. She has been in this business for, what, 35 years now? She knows she's followed by the press. She knows she's followed by the paparazzi. She knows they're interested in her every move. She sat in a position where she could easily be photographed in order to get everyone talking about who she was with. She's a smart business woman.

I don't know what's going on but she seems to enjoy Pepe's company. She needs to be surrounded by people of her age or a bit younger. All her life since she was a child, she's been surrounded by adults (her brothers and sisters, her producers, songwriters and Rene's friends). Has Celine made her own friends? Never. Rene's friends were her friends. When you read her biographies she is always talking about spending time with Rene's friends.

 

I hope she can find good and true friends who don't belong to show business.

I agree, It`s very difficult to just delete someone from your life. She shared a lifetime with Rene, and was very happy to do so. During the interview she still says `Losing the love of my life, I`m a wife` so yes she still sees herself as his wife. In due time she will move on, she is already having fun, going out, meeting new people so who knows what the future holds. She was sweet, funny, and as usual a great role model!

I think the reason Celine and Pepe are so care free about all this, in an almost mocking manner is because they know there is nothing going on. It's probably a joke to them at this point. They know the media is just going to make up crazy stories anyways, so why not throw them for a loop a little and mess with there minds. I am sure Celine and Pepe are laughing, because they know the truth and they know that the media will never get any real gossip on this subject. He he he

 

Answering the media's questions would only be giving them what they want. Celine wants to have the upper hand and mess with them a little. I don't blame her. I think it is absolutely atrocious that the media thinks they have the right to even ask her these questions to begin with.

 

I found it so inappropriate and disgusting, how that reporter asked Celine about her love life in the middle of a business like atmosphere. The woman was launching a handbag line. There were business execs right behind her and people all around her. There is never a right time to ask that kind of a question. If there was, that certainly was not the time, or the place. Appalling.

 

If Celine is dating someone, she should be able to let the public know in her own time, she shouldn't be asked about it every time she goes to an event or gives an interview. Celine has to feel like she has some kind of control over the whole situation and I think joking about it is her way of being in control. Celine knows that know matter what she does, the media isn't going to stop asking her this question and speculating about her love life, so she might as well have a little fun with it.

 

There's nothing else she can do, she's already tried telling the truth in countless interviews by talking about her love for Rene and how her heart is locked for him and making it very obvious that she's not ready to move on.

 

What did that do, except make reporters make up a story with the headline: Celine's heart may be locked for Rene but her panties, we're not so sure.

Then Celine tried telling the truth about Pepe on TMZ, Extra, ET Entertainment Tonight and others by making a statement and saying that Pepe and her are only friends, but did the public listen? No.

 

People just kept speculating and making up there own conclusions. This is why Celine has to resort to humor to be in control of her own love life. It's sad, but true in this pathetic day in age, where people don't listen to the truth and still want to believe any crazy gossip thrown there way.

 

This is why we are now on page 12 of a topic created based off of a rumor.
