However, there are still many songs to be released before the finals ... so there is a chance that everything changes ... Btw Spain's song from Manel is in the Top 5 as one of the Top viewed videos of February - which of course has Italy at #1 I really like Denmark this year, she's from Australia and her voice is amazing. angelil78 Posted March 3, 2017 at 12:28 PM Posted March 3, 2017 at 12:28 PM Iceland will choose it's song on March 11th. I used to hope that this song, Paper with Svala would win http://www.ruv.is/lag/paperSvala has been performing since she was a kid here in Iceland. I do like 1 or 2 of her songs but in general her voice annoys me. But I kinda got sick of her voice. Now I hope this one will win Tonight with Aron Hannes. I saw him at my local mall yesterday and he did a good job. http://www.ruv.is/lag/tonight-0 Over all for the Icelandic Eurovision, I'm not a huge fan of any of the songs. 1 Quote

I read a bunch of negative comments about the Dutch song before even listening to it but I gotta say it's really good and upbeat. Those sisters have great voices that compliment one another really well. Well done, the Netherlands. Yes they have great voices and the blending of their voices is beautiful..but this song just does not have it. Too much of together singing and it reminds me of hold on by Wilson Philips. The song also sounds dated. I also get a gospel feeling..So, we will not go far with this song imo. Despite the great singing of these talented sisters. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G901F met TapatalkI guess the song sounding dated and belonging to the 90's was the biggest issue some of the people had with this song. I don't mind it though. Besides, it's much better than the likes of Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Switzerland and many others (too many, to be honest). I think it's way too early to predict this song's chances of qualifying to the final. Anything can happen. Edited March 3, 2017 at 10:49 PM by Jeff Abbott 1 Quote

Jeff Abbott Posted March 7, 2017 at 04:05 PM Posted March 7, 2017 at 04:05 PM (edited) So what do you think about Greece's and Australia's songs? The "problem" with those two songs is that the expectations of them were raised by the public so high that it's quite difficult for these artists to meet them. Greek song is cheap as hell with really cheesy lyrics. Australian one is quite nice actually, that guy has beautiful voice. It's one of the better ballads this year. I do like the Greek song (cheese-and-all) and while I do like the Australian song, I expected something more after last years' song ... Malta is sending a Duo (not sure when they will present the song) and Macedonia will be presenting their song on Friday ... there is still plenty of songs to come out and make this happen!!!!! Quote
