Céline Dion Live 2017 (tour) - Official Topic

According to a promoter, Celine's June 25th show at Manchester Arena is still on, but in the case that it is canceled, they have set Tuesday, August 8th as the reschedule date. I'm sure official info would be made available soon if this is the case.

 

Was this info from Celine's promoter Marshall Arts? My sister managed to get through to a contact number for the arena today and was told they honestly don't know if it will go ahead, they're currently just taking things one day at a time.

 

August 8th doesn't suit me unfortunately but I'll be seeing her in Glasgow on 5th so I'll just have to wait that bit longer to see her by the looks of things. One of the reasons I booked this Manchester show was to see her as early in the tour as I could possibly manage logistically...That's my problem, no patience 😊

Manchester arena have updated their info page. It no longer states that they are still assisting police with their investigation & that info on when the arena will reopen will be given asap.

I have no doubt she will sing English songs she hasn't. She always does. I just hope they're hers. I mean, even the 2011 show had about 12 songs in it never sung before, but not a single one was her own song.

I am simply wondering how the bootlegs were obtained.

I recorded the first Antwerp gig last year. Just put my spare iPhone 4S on top of my jacket, put that under my seat and hit record on the standard Apple Voice Recorder app. I did use Adobe Audition back home to enhance the audio a bit. Turned out pretty good.

 

What would be the best way to record a concert?!? (not allowed, I am aware...) a tiny voice recorder, added mics to a good cam, phone(poor quality)?

she sang LCMM RDMH last year and add TPOL and BYLM , and the show was good anyway, most people like those songs , it is just not super fans who loves barely known songs ... she has to fill the place. I guess it will depend on the other songs that she will chose to add...

Agreed. If they want to go with uptempo songs, they should use "You And I," "One Heart," "Eyes On Me," "Unison," or...wait for it..."THAT'S THE WAY IT IS!"

Have lived in/near Manchester for all of my 36 years and have seen Céline at the Manchester Arena everytime she has performed there. Have tickets for the 25th June show and hope it goes ahead, although will completely understand if it can't or won't. As with the recent Love Manchester Concert think that we need to carry on with life and not show weakness to these terrorists and actually can't think of anyone better than our Céline to re-open the Manchester Arena. Her entire ethos is about love, faith, class, family, diversity and absolute elegance - so I hope we can stand together with London and all other places that are suffering and show that love conquers all! On this point I would love to hear Céline open with 'Let's Talk About Love' as she did on the 1999 LTAL World Tour when I saw her in Edinburgh it would be 100% perfect! Love to you all and keep safe x x

Instead of recording my usual bootleg as i have always done I plan on trying to video it with my new galaxy s8, I got a 256gb micro sd. I know in the highest quality it will be a huge file so I am ready!! Hopefully I won't get caught because I would love to video. One show I'm on the end of a row so it makes me vulnerable to be caught.

I bought a Huawei P10 for the video, but how can you hold up the phone for the whole show, especially if you are first row?!

Last year I just used FB live for some top tracks, for friends and family, but i found that quite distracting, plus the quality was meh.

Gosh, it must be weird for an artist to look at a crowd of hands with phones

Don't forget the power bank

 

Ps: dreaming of a tiny cam i can just attach on a headband, like a hair accessory!

I would love it if she brought some of the lesser known songs back to Vegas. But FAT CHANCE!

As for bootlegs, etc....do whatever you can: pictures, concert report/experience, video, and audio bootleg. But I will say for those wanting to bootleg the whole thing, I prefer audio so I can listen to Celine in the car. 😉🎶 THANK YOU! MERCI BEAUCOUP!
