Interesting to hear Celine talk (in the Rhythe FM interview) about this being the most emotionally difficult song to record on this new album. I can see why some of those lines would really get to her.

No wonder it turned out to be such a magical track.

would it be to much to ask if someone could translate this song in to English or other songs as well , So that we can understand them

I remember fans being skeptical of the results of the contest.

I guess it was a very deserved win.

A la plus haute branche is a song that I loved from the very first live performance. Even though the melody is very simple, it's very haunting and it fits perfectly with the theme of the song. The lyrics are the proof that Celine's french career is a great example of classiness in the music industry. It's been a while since I've heard Celine's voice FULL of emotions.

I would also like to share with you a very special moment that happened to me during my summer vacation. I was with my grandmother and I was reading Celine's interview in ELLE magazine. When she looked at Celine she told me how beautiful she looks. Then I played for her this very special song and I was surprised to see her look emotional. She told me how crystal is Celine's voice and wanted me to translate the lyrics for her. By the time I finished the translation she told me how beautiful this song is. Celine managed to make emotional a 86 year-old woman from Greece, who doesn't speak any foreign language and her music taste is so much different than Celine's music. I've never felt so proud before!

My opinion is that the song is a masterpiece from a lyrical standpoint and that Celine sounds angelic singing it. And this alone elevates it to a position of not being terrible.

Don't forget the melody and pace of the song. It's enchanting

I still don't like this song. The melody is boring. Of course it's better with Celine's voice than the demo we heard during the contest but still... And it sounds so outdated. I'm sure people in Quebec love that kind of song, but I don't. I'm in love with the whistling, though XD
:wtf: what is that supposed to mean. You're saying ppl from Quebec only like "out-dated" songs? But you being from France should be able to appreciate the lyrics at least, since you are able to understand them, They are beautiful and poetic.

So let's see if 1 year from now you'll be still in love with this song. It's just because it's new. Every song that she releases, crazy people appear saying that it's the best song ever, it's so prety, it's so touching. bla bla bla. I remember saying that Immensité was better than PQTME LOL. Almost 10 years has passed what i think about immensité now? it's ok.
No, it's not because it's new. The first time I heard it was Live in concert, and immediately I liked it. I was like "what is this song! :w00t:

And she got a huge response by the audience, and they were all hearing it for the first time. As for immensity, that's another song that moves you. And I still love it.

I am undergoing in this song completely. This voice, these sounds, these words. That's why I love Celine Dion since 1988. It takes more than a good voice for this kind a song.

Guys, I can hear that someone in my neighborhood is listening to A la plus haute branche. :w00t: My window's open and I think it comes from the block of flats just next to mine. This agave me chills.

Wow, even before the release of the album someone in your neighbourhood probably found a perfomance on youtube :) I'm in the country which is the neighbour of yours but nobody even knows Celine has a new album. There are lots of people who don't even know who is Celine Dion. And no, this isn't some kind of a sick joke.

Francophone music has always been popular in Poland :)

I heard that too. I know that even In-Grid is still somewhat popular in Poland I adore her, she has lots of nice tunes, yet she's sorta... Challenged with her management, I don't know. As for Celine I think she even received some awards from Poland, no? Something like Drago Awards, I might be mistaken. In 2002 or 2003 or maybe both...

Zaz is popular as well!

Celine has her star in Polish Alley of Fame in Cracow, she was the first one to reveal her star there.

I heard Celine say (in the Rhythe FM interview) about this being the most emotionally difficult song to record on this new album. I can really see why some of those lines would really get to her. Of course if you translate the song you will see that it gets to her because of Rene. Another thing that I have observed, after watching some of her shows in Canada, is that after she sings this song she says Je t`aime ( I love you) and does the LV sign and touches her nose. I believe the touch on the nose is a reference to what she did in Paris in 1999 when she comunicated with Rene by touching her nose. Clearly this song is important to her.
