I was disheartened when I found out "Love Is All We Need" had been cut from "A New Day..." right before its premiere.

OH is full of easy listening, radio friendly songs, but most of them are not big enough for the stage. It's the type of songs one listens while driving the car or working out or cleaning the house. The only album cuts I'd really enjoy live would be Reveal and acoustic versions of Stand By Your Side and Naked.

 

I would LOVE to see "Faith" performed

Yes! My favorite from the OH album.... the OH era was really the height of my obsession so I adore the whole album.

Celine, herself, mentions loving rehearsing "I Drove All Night" and "Love Is All We Need" for the then upcoming Vegas show, "A New Day...," in the liner notes of the album "One Heart." Also, on the old Celine fansite, Celine Maniacs, "Love Is All We Need" is mentioned as being in a rehearsal show before Premier Night:

 

“Love Is All We Need” (Celine’s new song from One Heart). It’s upbeat and all the musicians join on stage playing their instruments and having fun. There are motorized apparatuses that hold the keyboarders and dancers move them around stage with controls they have on there arm rest.

I have no idea. Possibly a mindset of "promoting competitors"? Anyway, I really wish we could see footage of the live performances of "Love Is All We Need." It would be great to see and hear!

Fist I liked one heart, as I was a newbee in Celine, so I liked it.

 

Now, I really think that this album was a "fill-in", meaning "we make a new album because we have to, or because it would give people some songs".

I don't feel like this album was a project in itself, like Miracle, or D'elles. It is rather a compilation of simple songs (and not hits or songs that will leave a mark in the industry), and covers (IDAN is a cover, HYEBIL is a duplicate from ANDHC, SFL did not even need Celine, JTE is a translation ...).

This is my point of view.

 

I agree the promotion was hardly visible, all promotion was focused on A new day (which is understandable too).

 

For the first time an English version is better than a french one :clap:

Yea, One Heart was such an important album that people are quick to dismiss, but to me it's brilliant. It's the closest thing she has to a conceptual album and the flow of the album is outstanding! The songs are catchy and the melodies stick in your head, which is a good barometer of good lyrics, melodies and good songwriting.

Faith would not work live on stage. It's part of a group of songs that you can workout to, or clean the house to, as Luke said.

 

In an intimate setting, I think it would work. Even if it was acoustic.

I would love to see Reveal in a choreographed setting with 6 half naked male dancers prancing around Celine while she's singing. Kind of like Seduces Me but more "revealing". Pardon the pun. :giggle:

I'm a bit surprised to see Destin and PAMP which are quite famous.

 

I love seeing so many songs from "D'elles" appearing on that list - especially "A cause!" "Je lui dirai," too! I hope Celine or her team take note!

once she doesn't perform them, would be not a bad idea to put the non performed singles on the list :giggle:

 

FIY - was barely performed in 96/97

Misled - she just did it once 20 years later

Unison - last time was 10 years ago and was kind of duet/ medley with star academie

Water and the flame- is a unknown single song

have you ever been in love - it's like 15 years since last time

call the man - last performance was 97/98

eyes on me - great song - only performed during TC tour - 10 years ago

a new day has come - radio- seems that she has gave up of this song
