I mean this is way way way more than a simple carpool karaoke: it was emotional and majestic. But how it have been otherwise? As James was saying: singing this song in the car did not feel quite right. I guess that My Heart Will Go On and I Will Always Love You are the two 90 songs that require some big staging as they are bigger than life ) And, and, and what she wore was on point IMO : they seemed to have played, just like on the Ashes video, on the contrast between the superstar diva (pearls, high fashion clothes, jewellery) and the funny girl. And I believe that this is actually this contrast that makes the whole thing works: people discovering that the diva Céline is a colorful character. The clothing is extra, just like the funny part. Well done to James and Céline.They delivered the perfectly balanced carpool karaoke. 3 Quote
