This makes perfect sense. There is such a buzz surrounding Celine in both anglophone and francophone markets at the moment due to the various interviews, the Billboard performance and the French album and tour, they are right to take advantage of this hype by releasing an English single. Many non-French/non-hardcore fans (i.e. the majority) would feel left out if the result of all this excitement was a French single that they are not interested in, so instead of satisfying one market and creating an anti-climax for the rest, they are pleasing EVERYONE at once. I'm sure I will be in the minority here, but part of me wishes that when she went into the studio to record TSMGO, that she also recorded "Purple Rain" and "Over the Rainbow," and that they released a compilation (DONT KILL ME) called "The Show Must Go On," with:

 

1. The Show Must Go On (new recording)

2. Purple Rain (new recording)

3. Incredible

4. Loved Me Back To Life

5. A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)

6. I'm Alive

7. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

8. That's The Way It Is

9. My Heart Will Go On

10. Immortality

11. All By Myself

12. It's All Coming Back To Me Now

13. Because You Loved Me

14. River Deep Mountain High

Celine never fails to surprise me! Having listened to several live performances, of the song I believe this will be her most epic recording since 'I Surrender'!
