Or maybe in Trois-Rivieres, since they will be two "special" shows.

I'd prefer they record one of the indoor shows rather than one of the outdoor ones. Last few DVD's have been outside not to mention if these are specials shows does that mean they will be slightly different than the tour? If so I'd rather the "regular" tour be recorded.

i am really impressed about these performances. I see a Celine still mourning, trying out a new show, a little scared, so much missing Rene when she started her tour in Antwerp. Getting more into the show in Paris, enjoying being on that stage, starting to wear different outfits at the end of the shows in Paris and now she is completely into the show and she gives her all and also shows more glamourous Celine in this outfit, and by cutting her hair.

lol that's absolutely true, i didnt know that im becoming the famouse one talking about her looks here but its just something in me ,i always want the people that i love to look their best ,and for celine im 100 % sure about her voice but the other half (looks and fashion) definitely there is some confusion going on in that world of hers and for me i cant accept anything but perfect ,and thats my big problem with her lol ,the funny thing is that she doesn't know me and doesn't care but i feel we are family Edited August 14, 2016 at 04:41 PM by artistman2007

I'm so surprised how lame (sorry) the audience is. I know it's different and Celine said herself it's different from the Paris one and it's not that it's worse. But it would have been so much better to have Paris on dvd... Everybody stood so many times... And here people don't even stand for PQTME or NBP?! and the interaction and improvisation moments in Paris were the highlights too.

 

Nevertheless, I will be content with any dvd we get.

I was in Montreal for the first 2 nights and the audience was certainly lame. The energy was electric and the floor did stand up more then the rest of the arena. The audience was so loud the first night I barely heard her sing 3h20. We were that excited to see her back on stage.

 

It does come across different on the videos that in person I might add. For example when the audience sings with her it doesn't sound as loud on the videos but being there in person everyone was into it.

I just think the people in France are more into art and music in general. They are a different type of people from the Candian audience which is very much like the USA audience, more reserved and just wanting to her a vocal masterpiece.

I don't agree that the audience is lame. I think people in Quebec have a different relationship with Celine than people in the rest of the World. When they look at her, they don't see an international star, they see one of the rare people from their own who has succeeded. They have profound respect and admiration for her, not only has a singer but as a person too. It's an unbreakable bound, her personnal history is linked to our national history (as she so brillantly sings in "Je ne vous oublie pas").As much as they might criticize, at the end of the day, they all love her.

 

They're not fanatics. When they stand up it's because they're really touched or impressed. What's the point of standing up for anything anyway ? It takes away the magic imo. Furthermore, I think Celine has made it clear that she has been really touched and amazed by the reaction of the public here, so I guess that what's counts.

And I don't agree with you( just a part of what you said ). Céline isn't just a normal singer just in Québec, it's the same thing in France. ( I agree that she is even more important in Quebec because she is like your "daughter" there )

In France Celine isn't an international singer, she is just Celine, that little nice girl who used to sing Goldman's song and that we discovered in the 80's thanks to Michel Drucker .

Most of people here in France like her.

And everybody know who was René. There is a very popular joke about "mon mari René et mes enfants..." but that's another story.

D'eux is still the most sold album in France.

She is like a French singer when she comes here. We just love her because she is playing a big role in French culture and because she can French ( French people are not big fans of American and anglophone culture) that's why they are often disappointed when she just sing in English.

Most of my friends think that Beyonce is an international singer but not Celine, but they think that Celine is a better artist and that she is a part of our culture because everybody can sing a Celine's song here, at least PQTME or Sous Le Vent. ( I questioned friends who are not big fans of Celine)

My mom can sing ''regarde moi'' but can't sing '' it's all coming back to me now''.

And when you have a family reunion like a wedding, a French Celine's song is always welcomed

Celine is always popular on radio too, this morning I heard on ne change pas on radio and Encore un soir really often those last days not like in USA, as you guys described here.

I've only seen Celine in Montreal once--August 1st--but, in my opinion, it was the LOUDEST audience I have ever heard--for Celine or anyone else. People may not have been up dancing, and even Celine herself said she was surprised at how active the crowd was on opening night, but they were LOUD. Like Del said, it doesn't come across on the videos very well, but when you're there it is deafening. I loved it!

 

I also think it needs to be taken into consideration that her Montreal run is coming to an end and while there are many of us hardcore fans that are there for every show, most of Celine's local diehard Quebec fans have seen one of the earlier shows already. Most fans--including myself, unfortunately--only see her once per multi-show run in whatever city she's in. Point being--it may very well be that the majority of the crowd are more "casual" fans now. Just a thought.

I've never seen RDMH with so much energy . she is on fire.

 

The ending with the ad-libs or whatever it is is perfect to change what became a boring performance.

 

She's so into it. It's not lazy actually. She could have sung just the last chorus as the others. now it requires more than before. For me it's fierce, it's rock, it's Celinish, it's powerful. Her improvisations are on spot, smart and straightforward. She lives literally the music.

I recorded a bunch of videos in HD, FRONT ROW CENTER, and it was BEYOND. Her voice was insane and top notch, she was extra chatter and one speech went on for 15 minutes! The Saturday night crowd was insane, high energy and it was definitely sold out. I'll be uploading them all shortly!~

To add to this whole crowd debate, I have to say I was disappointed with the crowd yesterday too. They went CRAZY for TPOL, but like, another level of crazy, but almost didn't cheer for the acoustic set, which is freaking amazing.

 

I was in a section of old people (don't mean to offend anyone) and was the only one standing up and dancing... Huh.

 

AND YES that 15 minutes speech was insane, she would've kept on going if it wasn't for someone on the left side of the stage telling her to stop talking and start singing!!!!!!
