Never posted on here but saw Celine a few years ago in Vegas and a couple of years ago at Bercy, Paris and have been listening to this all day at work and in tears! Amazing but so sad at the same time.

Wow I love everything!!! The setlist, the costumes, HER VOICE... I thought she couldn't impress me anymore, but she did. She impressed me by the choices of her songs but also by her strength. Well done Celine.

 

She put all of my favorite songs (Immortality, TFTEISYF, I Surrender...) and Over The Rainbow??? Wow such an emotional performance.

I wish she hadn't cut "The Reason" though.

I've heard they still may change 1 or 2 songs in the near future, although nothing concrete.

I would include if you asked me to & only one road in the acoustic medley, change the french song for Je sais pas (with the notes from Taking chances tour) and remove 1 cover to sing a song of her own that she never sang before like then you look at me or miles to go and remoooove love can move moutains to let her sing Unison or somebody love somebody! Do you think the ABM note is a new prerecorded track or it was live? Sounds live to me (and soooo powerful)

 

I think the first part is LIVE, then it merges to the prerecorded track....

I have no disappointments whatsoever. Surprises - the entire acoustic medley. I was floored. TTWII actually worked live! Immortality AND If I can Dream (which I haven't heard yet). MHWGO live - she never has to do it again - that performance was everything. Over The Rainbow. Can't wait to download the show so I can hear the Prince and Tom Jones songs. Her voice was on fire tonight. I didn't miss anything that was cut. And we got soooooooo many great new songs - that are hers!!! I was a little surprised that TCOML didn't make it but....that was probably going to be way too tough with its history.

 

I was extremely happy to hear and see "That's The Way It Is" back! That song had been neglected for far too long! I only wish there were still less covers. (I guess I'm never happy, huh? LOL) Anyway, hopefully this show will evolve more through the coming months and we'll see more of her own songs find their way into the show!

Well what a night that was. We all love Celine, that's why we are here. But to witness her last night, with everything that is going on in her life, was just awe inspiring. What a woman she is. Make no mistake, this was THE show of her life!

 

The opening IDAN video was well done but they showed different footage on all 3 screens so it was hard to see it all. Also nothing really happened with the red balloon idea. Still its a neat idea and was done well.

 

I could not believe when I heard the opening notes of I Surrender, it was awesome and great to have a Celine song open the show! The ovation she received afterwards was amazing and the speech she gave was heartfelt. We then went into Where Does My Heart Beat Now but now without the Jay Leno introduction.

 

Because You Loved Me followed and was just stunning and it felt like Celine was singing it for the first time, she meant every word. We had the usual sing along at the end of the song. It was then into the IACBTMN/TPOL medley with the arrangement sounding different and then intro in particular I loved!

 

Mr Paganini and the French jazz song followed and although both were great they didn't really fit with the show any more. It feels like the show has moved on from this. Then it was an emotional The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face with family footage shown in the screen throughout and René receiving applause whenever he appeared. Before the song Celine told the crowd to imagine the screen as a giant iPad lol.

 

Next up was the holograms section and I couldn't believe me ears when I heard Immortality! This just works so well and to have Celine walk through the crowd was an added bonus. A brilliant touch having footage of the Bee Gee's on the screens too. All The Way followed and this HAD to be in the show tonight and Celine sounded great singing it. Then it was a great new surprise as Celine revisited If I Can Dream with Elvis. Again it was brilliantly done. After the song Celine talked to the crowd as she walked from backstage and met her singers on stage saying to them "you are not illusions are you? You are real people right?" Brilliant lol.

 

It was then into the acoustic set which for me was then highlight of the night. To hear A New Day Has Come, That's The Way It Is and I'm Alive again and in this was was brilliantly. So refreshing and this section must stay in the sbow. Please don't ever drop this section! The improv during the guitar issue was also amazing. Unplanned and unscripted, a true professional.

 

We then had Incredible and its great to have a song from the latest album in the show even if its not my personal favourite. The crowd also seemed to love it. Then the back up singers sung Unison in its entirety before Celine reappeared and rocked the house with Love Can Move Mkuntains. I know people think it's had its day but I love it and Celine does too. It was then into a brilliant performance of River Deep Mountain High before slowing things down with All By Myself. Delighted they have mixed up the ending of the show for the first time in years and for me ABM sounded fully live and amazing! She brought the house down!

 

We then had a frankly stunning version of The Show Must Go On and whoever came up with this arrangement is a genius. Celine sounded amazing and the words were so apt for tonight. Next up was the unexpected Prince tribute with Kiss and Purple Rain both of which she nailed but why no With This Tear if paying tribute to Prince? Also I didn't like that Purple Rain was the last song before MHWGO. It was amazing to see and hear Celine immitate the guitar again though.

 

Then the showstopper, My Heart Will Go On. I don't think many, if any, of us were expecting this live and it was FULLY live! It gave such new life to the song and you could feel her emotion singing it and of course the water screen effect was stunning.

 

The show closed with a highly emotional performance of Over The Rainbow. An excellent choice and Celine nailed it! A simple and effective arrangement and a great way to bring the curtain down on Celine's triumphant return to this spectacular venue.

 

I think this was my favourite ever Celine concert and I can't wait to do it all over again on Sunday

Do you guys think that there will be more surprises that they actually will change the setlist maybe weekly, or monthly??? Because for me, I don't really like the setlist and I actually wonder where's the new song from her English Album except Incredible. Where's Thankful, Breakaway, Always Be Your Girl, I Didn't Know Love n etc???? and why there's a lot of Covers in her setlist?? Celine said that she will sing more of her song, but there's still a lot of Covers. I really wanted them to change the setlist, Mr. Paganini should be removed. It is so lame. This is not the revamped show if they still include Mr. Paganini. I Surrender as the opening number, i don't think it suits to open the show. I know they might think that Celine is known for her vocal, that's why they put I Surrender as the opening, to show her Vocal Ability. But, try to imagine if I Surrender is sang maybe half of the show, people will be more excited to hear the intro piano. I have the instinct that this new setlist is not the final setlist for this new run. For MHWGO, it is fully LIVE version, but I dont prefer Celine to sing it like a rehearsal as to show that she is singing it Live. I prefer Celine to just sing it live like the playback version but just add on several adlibs. As for the acoustic medley, it is too short and uptempo. I love how they did the acoustic version for MHWGO and BYLM in CBS 2002, and TPOL, IYAMT in Oprah 1997. I'm also sad that she didn't sing I Love You, but prefer to choose that lame Mr. Paganini.. Hmmmmmm. Did you watch/hear the same show as the rest of us? But you "can please all of the people all of the time" as Celine has wisely said many times. Taste is subjective and I disagree with you on this one.

 

But the dress should go and I would like full Unison too
