Singing Plus Haut Que Moi with Mario Pelchat for a telethon in 1993 (looks like a live cut-in from her concert) - her voice is so strong and supple here.

A rare performance of “Beauty & the Beast” with Maurice Davis

Another unique duet. Aside from the shirtless dancer, this performance is memorable for her clever, punny entrance. At the 00:32, Céline should have entered with the line “And if you you think it’s over—never” but Marc Dupré, without missing a beat, hits his chest and starts singing her lines in a falsetto. She appears a few lines later singing “And if you think I’ve forgotten you—listen…” It was a cute moment. Wonder why she never sings this song in her own concerts when it was such a huge hit for her?

That gyrating, windswept, topless dancer is hilarious!

I don't think of Marc Dupré as having such a gruff voice, but he's doing a pretty good Garou impression here.

They were giving it their ALL.

One of her greatest English songs.

This song alone is better than most of what's in other diva's catalogues.

It always irks me when people say, "Celine's got a great voice but her music is subpar" or something like that. Because it's just not true. She has recorded some timeless gems in both French and English.

1000% agree. This is one of the first songs I play for people who don’t like Céline, and who might remember hearing this tune in the 1990s, but may hear it differently now that time has passed. That hook at the end eclipses any “sub-par” song (and that certainly applies to most songs on the radio today).

If you enjoy playback performances, then you might enjoy this:

It was already on YouTube, but the audio/video quality from this version is significantly cleaner

Mariah’s voice is really starting to change. Thankful that Céline managed to find her new voice at her current age. That’s what I’m talking about before to them. 2-3 years can change your voice tremendously.

They uploaded the official audio videos for a new day has come (ballad version, map to my heart and taking chances (i-soul extended remix) to youtube, finally :)

Don't know if the last two are available everywhere, but here in Germany they are, since they were bonus tracks on the taking chances album here. Sadly the reason I go on wasn't, so that must be the reason why it isn't available here too

Here’s hoping they keep uploading the rest of the “official audio” videos that are missing (geo-blocked, remixes, instrumentals and soundtrack songs excluded) :

- All of her early Canadian material pre-“Incognito”

- Je t’aime encore (from “One Heart”)

- Ain’t Gonna Look The Other Way

- Be The Man (On This Night) (Japanese Version)

- Tous les secrets

- I Believe In You (duet w/ Il Divo)

- The Power Of The Dream

- Cry Just A Little

- Love You Blind

- Introduction (from “Celine Dion”)

- Je ne veux pas [was included on select versions of “Incognito”]

- Live (For The One I Love)

- All The Way (duet w/ Frank Sinatra)

- If I Can Dream (duet w/ Elvis) [from David Foster collab. album]

- My Heart Will Go On (No lead vox) [only including this one here as it is part of the Japanese edition of “These Are Special Times”]

- The Reason I Go On

- Open Arms

- All Because Of You

- Send Me A Lover

I’m sure I missed a few. However, I know those listed above still need to be posted.

Send Me A Lover is a TREAT.

I had forgotten it was recorded for the Celine Dion album, which is fascinating because to me it sounds more like her 1994-95 voice.

From Wikipedia:

Dion's version (with heavily revised verses and slightly altered chorus lyrics) was a "leftover" from the recording sessions of the Celine Dion album in 1992, which remained unreleased until 1994. It was offered for various benefit collections, mostly for women's causes. First it was released on the Kumbaya Album 1994. All proceeds from this CD went to support AIDS awareness and services. It also appeared on the In Between Dances (1995) (of which profits were given to research on breast cancer), The Power of Peace (1996) (to celebrate the 50 years of CARA), and Women for Women, Vol. 2 (1996) (another album to get funds for the research on breast cancer). It was also included as the B-side of the UK single "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" in 1995.

Dion's version was issued in the US in December 1996, as a radio single from the Women for Women, Vol. 2 album, released on September 17, 1996. It peaked at number 23 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.

- Dance With My Father

- I Knew I Loved You

- Listen To Me

- Can’t Live With You, Can’t Live Without You (duet w/ Billy Newton-Davis)

- Wishful Thinking (duet w/ Dan Hill)

The Reason I Go On totally needs to be uploaded to both YouTube and streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. I can't believe it remains unavailable in so many places...

Same goes for many of her music videos (like if you asked me to, that's the way it is, A new day has come, I drove all night, incredible or immortality, just to name a few), which are unavailable in many parts of the world too... but I think we here in Germany are the ones with the most videos blocked for whatever reason. How should one profit from views while having so much of his material unavailable... Edited by ordinary fan
