nuts2you Posted July 10, 2009 at 01:23 AM Posted July 10, 2009 at 01:23 AM Does anyone know what the crowd is singing during her ovation at L'ADISQ 08? It starts at 2:53. OMG I have never seen that! Why have I never seen this?!?! i am crying right now - I am in the middle of watching all 3 parts. I am in awe. She is SO amazing. Not that I didn't know that - but to see all of the love in that room... good god. ..... I think it is just an anthem - they aren't "saying" anything - it's kind of like the soccer anthem "Ole Ole" YES! I just saw this today and I thought the same thing, why have I never seen it? It made me cry so much and love her even more!! She got like a 6 minute ovation and looked so shocked that they would not stop clapping! I think someone somewhere said she was getting her 40th Felix award that night and it was either on her 40th b-day or around that time Okay, it's an anthem- gotcha Yes, I did see this one, It was when she was sick, but she insisted to go.I sure hope when she gets back to Las vegas that us fans give her the same ovation she deserves when she returns to Las Vegas, on how much she is miss and loved by us fans. When I first saw this I had to walk away for while I got tear eyed as well.I think we should give her a LONGER ovation then that.

SandyCeline Posted July 10, 2009 at 03:05 PM Posted July 10, 2009 at 03:05 PM I was just wondering if anyone could please translate what Celine is saying? Or would be kind enough to type it out in French so I could translate it myself... Celine - Parle De La Fecondation In Vitro Thankyouuuuu Well, it took me almost 3 hours but here's the translation the interviewer: You know that in Quebec, 1 out of 10 couple have fertility problems, that's a lot of people, and you've been the first public personality who dared talking about it, there's no one before you who did it. Celine: I've been really criticized about that too, you know, when you talk about something...In life, you can be criticized because you're not an open book and everyone runs after you because they don't know anything about you, and you can be criticized because you do the contrary. You know, in life, there are not rehearsals for everything. You can't say " we're gonna start to speak slowly, to imply people, to tame them a little..You know, at some point, it can happen to you...Maybe I thought having children was easy, saying to myself " my parents had 14 children", for me, there wasn't any limit, I could do everything, but now I needed help..I was feeling bad " how come I cant make a baby ? How come I cant have a baby ? How come we cant do that ? we love each other! We love each other more than the others, we are the couple who loves each other the most in the world! How come ? But I have to admit that, at some point, after 3 years, 4 years, I said to myself " I can't be a spoiled baby" maybe we're not allowed to have a baby, maybe we have too many things, maybe we're too forunate...In life, we can't have everything, I was saying to myself " we won't have any child together". 5 years later, Rene got sick, and that was for me the sound of bell " did you understand that you won't have any child?". My gynecologist, Rene's doctors asked us this question sometimes " you're trying to have a baby, you've just been diagnosed with cancer, we suggest you to take the procedures to put in a bank your husband' sperm". We were still believing in it, life is stronger than everything, we were still believing in it. So, I gave myself small injections, it was a small capsule, a tiny needle, we feel almost nothing, and I had to keep that tiny capsule cool. I didnt have to freeze it or put it in a warm place. But we we travelling and I had it in my purse, and all the time, I was like, I've never been scared someone would steal it, but this time..my credit card, it doesnt matter, but my tiny capsule with liquid..so I was injecting it in my thigh, I didn't really know, I wasn't feeling anything, " where does it go ? is it really going to travel accross my body ? it's nothing, it seems like I should drink it, it seems like it's not enough..and then, you can feel the ovaries swelling, so you don't have to do brusque movements and start doing trampoline, you have to understand that your body is changing. The ovaries swell, I could really feel like 2 water balloons very swollen, it wasn't hurting but i could feel them, and I was saying to myself "well, it's working". When they took off everything, I couldn't belive I didn't feel anything, and I was hoping there would be ova, and there were 16 ! I was so happy, we're 16 at home, I wanted only 1 and there were 16 ova. They told me " we're gonna mix it all together hoping it's gonna work, hoping it's gonna be fertilized, and we'll call you, it's gonna take 3 days". Look, I probably didn't breathe during 3 days. My gynecologist arrived on the 7th for a blood test and the day after for another one. I remember, I was eating toasts, I was having my breakfast..the phone rings, dr Ackerman answers..blah, blah..hold on a second.." celine, telephone, it's dr Rosenwaks.." ohh dr Rosenwaks, I was like huh? I take the phone, he says..he doesnt say hello " congratulations, you're pregnant! ", I didn't even say, I don't remember saying something, I dropped the phone, I sat dow, and I put my hands all over my face, then he turned on the speakerphone, and my sister Linda was crying, Alain was crying, my brother in law, her husband, Rene, I was crying so hard, I couldn't believe it...that same day, June 8th, Rene has been told that he no longer had any cancer marks. It's been bigger than life for us, this moment was..there was no longer anything I had done that was important, it was the first day of my life...Then the day of the ultrasound came, hoping to see a small wink, a small heart who was beating, and when they said "here it is.." here it is..there's a small heart, I didn't even look, I did that ( looks towards the sky ), we can see the small heart, there's one, let's see if there's another one, I was numb, then I finally looked at it and I saw that small heart and I said to myself " what a fragility, what a miracle, what an extraordinary life !". And when I went to the hospital for the ultrasound and they told us it was a little boy, so many tears, and happiness, and I told Rene " Are you happy ?", he tells me " I'm so happy it's a boy!" ohh I told him " Why ? because you have both, you have 2 boys and a little girl, maybe because you want Anne Marie to be your little baby, your darling daughter.." he tells me "no..it's because I know that this little boy will take care of you later". I don't think he thought he could still love that way, it's the miracle of love, it's the miracle of life. the interviewer: When you talked about the frozen embryo, a few years ago, you were once again the first one to talk about that. People strongly reacted, they didn't understand what it was, and yet, the couples in the fertility clinics, most of the time, have frozen embryos. Celine: almost all of them. What happened in our case is that we had a lot of embryos. We have had 3 and the others were more or less strong, but, there was one of them which was as strong as the other ones 2 days after. The embryos they placed in me were 3 days old, and this one was 5 days old, its what we call "blastocyst". We can freeze those embryos, if it doesn't work the first time, maybe we have a chance without going through all those injections and this process which is very demanding, we can take back the frozen embryos, defrost them, and place them back for a 2nd or 3rd try. So, we have a 5 days frozen embryo. There's a lot of people who deserve to have children and they're not able to have children, and there are people who have children and they don't deserve them because they don't take care of them, and there are people who would deserve to receive money and encouragements because they are loving and dreaming people who would become extraodinary parents and they don't have that support, it's a bit unfair, isn't it ? Lou555 Posted July 11, 2009 at 02:18 AM Posted July 11, 2009 at 02:18 AM (edited) Does anyone know what the crowd is singing during her ovation at L'ADISQ 08? When I first saw this I had to walk away for while I got tear eyed as well.I think we should give her a LONGER ovation then that. can anyone translate this?! or know where i can find the link if its already translated somewhere?! There is some translation in the youtube comments, but not a full one. You can kind of get the general idea. If someone had a full translation of her speech tucked away somewhere that would be great! hellmeister Posted July 11, 2009 at 05:14 AM Posted July 11, 2009 at 05:14 AM OMG This is outstanding! I have never seen this version of Celine singing "Memory" - - the POWER is amazing. Memory - A Cappella
MTJ Posted July 11, 2009 at 07:45 AM Posted July 11, 2009 at 07:45 AM (edited) I love the group singing alone! I wish they wouldn't do those stupid dance movements though... how tacky. Who thought it was "cool" for everyone to raise their hands to their ears like a phone? How amazing would it be if Celine got a group like that to preform with her! Cellphone Posted July 11, 2009 at 10:35 PM Posted July 11, 2009 at 10:35 PM OMG. WHAT'S THIS?!?!?!?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wti4sSCdO8E...feature=related Quite a show! Love it. Especially the grandpa dancing with the violin. And she really sounds a lot like the singers she's imitating.
MTJ Posted July 12, 2009 at 08:43 AM Posted July 12, 2009 at 08:43 AM This performance was originally posted in the forum, so I'm sure many of you have seen it. I really wish her voice had been stronger that day... the beginning of the song is so beautiful. One of her most emotional performances... then it went to crap because she wasn't confident with the high notes. try again, Celine, PLEASE! I love live performances...
