Oh mon dieu! haha) This one, does anybody know where exactly in Montreal this shop is located and if it is still open? This Youtube page has a number of rare stuff. 2 Quote

maki_Dion-er Posted March 7, 2021 at 07:47 AM Posted March 7, 2021 at 07:47 AM Anyone know if this alternate version of the music video can be found? I checked the website shown on the clip but the video seems to be unavailable.I realize a lot of the clip is what was used for the Next Plane Out music video but I'd love to have this version as well. Maybe I'm just behind but did anyone else know of this unreleased video for La Religieuse?https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4rttxl Quote
woodstock Posted March 7, 2021 at 09:00 AM Posted March 7, 2021 at 09:00 AM Both editings of the "Je sais pas" music video are in the "On ne change pas" DVD that was released in late 2005.The same filming was used for the "Next Plane Out" video, as you say it, but also later fort the "Call the Man" video. One filming, but no less than 4 different music videos taken from threee different albums ! 2 Quote

ryba Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:16 PM Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:16 PM (edited) There was a Call the man music video? I always thought there was just the live performance. Can I watch it somewhere? Edited March 7, 2021 at 12:24 PM by ryba Quote
woodstock Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:26 PM Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:26 PM (edited) I don't know why it's nowhere to be found on YouTube or anywhere else...It is the shorter version of this footage (it sticks to the radio edit of the song) Here is a link for you all to download it : https://we.tl/t-xoZeuiYU0r Edited March 7, 2021 at 12:27 PM by woodstock 5 Quote
ryba Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:34 PM Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:34 PM (edited) Wow, what a music video. And she doesn’t even sing in there, yet it really fits the song. But the footage fits Je sais pas as well It was a smart idea to use one shoot for several music videos. I still find it strange that they decided to only show scenes where she sings in the Je sais pas video. The footage in the dark house combined with her singing scenes would make it much more special and mysterious. https://youtu.be/AaPwnlrPLgs Edited March 7, 2021 at 12:44 PM by ryba 1 Quote

In fact, it's the other way round : back in 1995/1996 in France, the music video shown on TV was the one where she doesn't sing. The one with the singing parts was seen for the first time with the ONCP DVD, as far as I know... 1 Quote

Thank you so much I like the way they changed the colours for each song. Call the man has a rather "yellow" ligh touch, Next plane out a red touch and Je sais pas a very dark almost black touch Quote

Thanks for sharing So it looks like they gave us a previously unreleased video (with her singing) on the ONCP DVD. That's cool. They also put it on Youtube as "the official version". Maybe because back in the day they thought that they can get away with giving the French speaking audience the same footage they used for other english videos, but in todays internet world it would be too obvious. ryba Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:52 PM Posted March 7, 2021 at 12:52 PM By the way guys, this "3 video footage" from 1995 really reminds me of this (maybe they had the same plan to use this footage for several music videos, but nothing came out of it?) Quote

Yes, today Fans would freak out. But in 1995/1996 nobody noticed it: Je sais pais (French speaking countries 1995) Call the man (Europe 1996) 1 Next plane out (Australia 1995) 4 Quote

The video's atmosphere does not fit Call the Man lol. I "love" how they change the color for each version to try and hide the fact that they're all the same recording. I'm gonna edit these and turn them back to black and white cause I can't stand these colors. Edited March 7, 2021 at 08:43 PM by maki_Dion-er Quote
