PuraVida Posted April 23, 2020 at 10:07 PM Posted April 23, 2020 at 10:07 PM Here's Céline's very first appearance after nearly a year and half of retirement, December of 1986. You'll notice she was about to prepare a very special project that would never see the light of day... German fans pay attention! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0zQQtY69S8 This video reminds me of an impression I always had...that Celine has this air of being a very "living room" singer in her earlier years. It's a compliment! Kind of a Judy Garland vibe...the kind of singer you want around your fireplace. I mean, the audiences treated her as a member of the family, and she sang things with a kind of a folk-singer quality. I'm sure some of this is due to Eddy Marnay, but also how she herself grew up singing with and for her family. All of the music and emotion was so heartfelt and close-to-home. A sort of endearing innocence I guess, like she belonged to everyone. I think it's a hard status for most singers to gain. It's like Tony Bennet, Michael Buble, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight (maybe). 1 Quote
LukeD Posted April 23, 2020 at 10:31 PM Posted April 23, 2020 at 10:31 PM Not a great fan of their cover but kudos to them for their Celine mannerisms. Quote
Chantemoi Posted April 24, 2020 at 04:03 AM Posted April 24, 2020 at 04:03 AM Interesting performance... her voice seems like it’s going to crack a few times, which I’ve never heard in any performances of this era. I wonder when this takes place in relation to the night when she lost her voice completely and began her strict vocal regimen? Does anyone remember that date? Quote
mirage Posted April 24, 2020 at 08:00 AM Posted April 24, 2020 at 08:00 AM Oooh this would be soo amazing to attend Such a shame that this was the second and last meeting with her Official Fan Club. Can you imagine such an event taking place nowadays? 1 Quote

Del Posted April 24, 2020 at 03:43 PM Posted April 24, 2020 at 03:43 PM The video below is a tribute that was made for Cst Heidi Stevenson who was killed on Sunday along with so many others. It's a violin cover of The Prayer and is beautifully done. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk 2 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

Celine Fan 77 Posted April 25, 2020 at 09:37 AM Posted April 25, 2020 at 09:37 AM Love how determined Céline has always been. It's also amazing to see how much her team encouraged her before the big American adventure. By the way, I pray that someday we'll get to see these performances from the Incognito Tour in full, specially Memory 5 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013) Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016) Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017) Céline Dion à Paris (September 12, 2026)

Acapella, with nothing but a chorus. Put it on the album and dropped a video with just her and the singers....I think it would have broken the internet and been a game changer. The lyrics are so impactful! 2 Quote

It's one of her most beautiful songs. I'm not sure why she shouted so much of CPV, though her voice certainly sounded very strong. Parts of it were very pleasing. I'm waiting for Celine Dion En Concert to arrive on vinyl any day. She sings on it a Marney medley of some of these songs. 2 Quote
