I had no idea Julio Iglesias was so dang loaded! Wow. And I'd very recently heard of Herb Alpert..don't know any of the music, but how the heck is he so wealthy?! Going to investigate.

 

 

Edit: Turns out Herb founded the famous A&M Music label and sold it for a very high total. In 1962, Herb Alpert founded a record label with fellow trumpeter Jerry Moss. Over the next 25 years, A&M records, would grow into the largest independent record company in the world. I like Céline’s yodel! It’s one of her signature sounds that make her voice so special to me, just like her nasality. I wouldn’t want that to go. She would have just a clear, plain (albeit extraordinary) voice. She wouldn’t be Céline anymore.

I love the work of this guy. The harmony is amazing, and Celine's part is just . I hope he will make a longer version of it. I often listen to MHWGO as it would have been sung by Whitney. That type of editing is so underrated to me, especially since we'll never have those three singers singing together ever, let alone at their best.

I love the first medley. She was not supposed to sing and she steals the show. It must be so difficult to concentrate and sing when Céline is singing with you and dancing around you. Thanks for sharing.

I have to say, that it was very hard on my ears listening to most of those contestants. The guy who sang DUAM, sounded like Garou if he had a sock stuck in his throat. The girl who sang SLV on both of her songs could not find 80% of the correct notes. The only voices I actually liked were the girls who sang SSD, and MHWGO. Everyone else I was questioning how they even got there in the first place.

 

Celine...looked lovely. Sounded beautiful on all of her little ad libs. Buuut...why did she lip sync on a singing competition show?! That really bugged me. Especially since we heard how strong her voice was!!!

The only one who was worth it was Nolwenn...and that is why she won that year.

She has been singing once in a while with Céline in different tv shows since then

And did you enjoy it? That’s one of the leftovers from the “All The Way” album if I remember correctly. I first heard it back in 2006. I do like the song but I think, since it’s not really on any album, I just never listen to it.
