Chantemoi Posted April 18, 2020 at 05:30 PM Posted April 18, 2020 at 05:30 PM https://youtu.be/69neefFwRTo I was watching this last night, and it left me really pining for the unreleased DVD. Particularly, I’m dying to see a full performance of “Fever” and TFTEISYF. At about 22:50 we see clips from “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” with short, blonde hair and 2 minutes later, the subject changes to the haircut itself. Céline says, with a lot of pain showing on her face, that “people hated it”. One man says “fans just weren’t ready for it”. Personally, I never understood the fuss. (The costumes early on, yes; but the hair, no.) Wouldn’t it be just wonderful to see these iconic performances right now? What do you think? Now that she’s established herself as a style icon, a fashion chameleon, do you think that fans are finally “ready” to accept her hair has nothing to do with the performance of the songs? 3 Quote

I would suppose that as she has been quite daring with her fashion venture, people would be fine with this indeed. 2020 is different than first half of 00s. Especially as it seems that the video was not shot at the early stage of the shot when the haircut was really really short, but some time later with more curly hair.It would not necessarily sells on hard DVD format (the one format for the "older" fans) but why not putting it online where distribution cost should be less. PuraVida Posted April 19, 2020 at 08:47 AM Posted April 19, 2020 at 08:47 AM (edited) As far as I know, never before released unedited audio (the video is not synced) of Divas Live 1998 ending. Céline actually sings and speaks at parts before and after the famous riff off with Aretha that we all know. She says goodnight right after Mariah says it, too. Listen for her at 0:33 - 0:34, 1:01 - 1:03, 1:16, 2:35, 2:46 - 2:50, 3:24, and 9:10 - 9:16! https://Www.youtube.com/watch?v=thQhLL08qZU Edited April 19, 2020 at 09:03 AM by PuraVida 6 Quote
