And now i can't stop singing the 'mon amour' after the 'C’est pour toi que je suis là' lol

I do the same thing I always sing 'mon amour' after the 'C'est pour toi que je suis la'. I thought it was so cute the part where they watch Rene talking about how they met and how it all started and Celine says 'Did you see his eyes, ah! Totally admiring Rene. The interviewer says 'She loves her husband ' and celine says 'I Love him so much! '

Celine is just so open and real!

2013 interview, sounds very edited. Like it was taken from somewhere else and they formatted the questions to fit the answers she already gave.

She talks about why she doesn't like singing songs she writes but that she would/could if she had no other choice.

The question: What was the original interview. What Radio channel?

A recent post about her improved belts on the closed syllable notes in the reason during taipei show reminded me of another closed syllable belt..one that often is improvised upon.

The studio version/olympics, was only duplicated in the very next performance shown at jones beach. She holds the note all the way thru! I love the improv note but nice to have at least one the original way. Now i am curious at looking at details such as when was jones beach, was it the first performance of tpotd?? Often she may sing things normal once or twice... Adjust and never return...(refuse to dance a recent example, rdmh and lcmm also).

https://youtu.be/sAAHh4lxYo8

Upon researching jones beach was 4 months into the tour but only 7 days after the opening ceremony on july 19. so it possibly was the third performance after july 23 and 24.

I like how she creates melismas for live performances... How Does A Moment Last Forever, and Ashes are recent examples...

Just an opinion of mine...

If you are trying to showcase her best ever to now, that is great...personally, i was thinking of making a similar video but i was planning on using new york ltal tour since it is in same key as the current live key. It appears you used the same 2018 one i would have, june 11th?

I think using the ltal tour performance in the same key shows just how amazing these current performances are. Yes. She nailed the song twice great in one off promo performances..But the only time she sang it regularly in a tour she was dodging notes and shortening them.

Especially considering that in 1998 she was still extremely capable of those notes as they APPEARED easy for her and yet shes singing it harder and more consistent NOW 20 years after the fact

It was my intention to showcase her 1998 live singing because it was too powerful. I wanted to show her greatness in that year. Then when I compared with her 2018 performance, she still had it eventhough there’s a key change. People will more likely to impress with her current vocal according to the condition of her matured and aged voice. If I compare it with the same key performance, it will be monotonous.

But that doesnt make any sense.

If you want to compare the results something the variables have to be the same : same key, both live, both in good sound quality.

So by choosing a performance where she was in the original key and hit a G#5 instead of a G5 you have basically made her look extremely weak in comparison to her younger self, the fact that its in a lower key AND she has a lower tone as a maturer woman just makes it seem like shes lowered it by 3 keys considering how extremely bright her tone was in the 1998 performance.

If you compared Taipei July 11th or Macau 29th June to One from the Lets Talk About Love Tour, it makes alot more sense as its the same key and similar darker tone and wouldnt seem extremely drastic

If your objective was to impress, then dont use a performance in a higher key, with a brighter tone and with better sound quality in her vocal prime time when she was rested and wasnt in concert mode. Thats just silly and nonsensical

You guys dont get what I mean... my video is not to show that she still can do what she did in 1998, but to show that in 2018, she still can sing TR eventhough the key is lowered. Why I linked it with 1998 performance? First, to show that she nailed it back then. But how about in 2018? Yes!! She still can do it but with lowered key. But still it is powerfully belted.

Thats actually the most pointless thing ive ever heard. She sang it in the original key TWICE and on tour she sang it in the same key she does know so why compare a completely different key when all your doing is basically mocking the fact that its a lower key and a less powerful set of belts.

If you want to prove she can still do it in 2018 then show her singing it the same way in 1998 ITS SIMPLE. You said its not to show she could still do it as she did in 1998 but then basically said its a comparison anyway lol.

Considering that she only performed it in the shown key twice, it should be common sense to show it in the key its always been sang in

Well i couldn't find this video on YT. It's a great show in my humble opinion. There is only a part of it on YT that also has eng. subs and i think it's the only part that rly needs to have subs, but besides that you don't actually need to know the language  Celine is just amazing :wub2: ..and everyone else there..

(If someone has posted it before, i'm sorry but there are a looot of pages :innocent: )

She's just the cutest thing. I love her hair at that length, it suits her really well. And the dress is so pretty.

Her brother's song is pretty good.

The neighbors don't count sheep to go to sleep, they count little Dions lol. That part is very funny.

Great to see them posting a rare video in high quality! But I have to say, the 2007 vocals were so much better than in 2003.

That performance of The Reason on the UK’s Lottery Show was actually from Nov 29th 1997 not 1998.
