Really? :w00t: Never heard of the song recorded in the studio :w00t: 'Paroles Paroles' is one of my fav songs EVER, too bad we don't have the studio version by Celine. Her version might've become a real gem on the Dalida tribute albums they happen to release occasionally. And moreover I'd love Celine to sing something from Dalida's repertoire. Maybe "Il venait d'avoir 18 ans' :-D Lots of fans will think it's a bad boring idea probably :hmm: :giggle:

The concert was awful (technically speaking) sound problems, her ear piece was bugging her the entire concert, crowd was TOO loud, forgotten lyrics by her and the starring duests) sad, because it was THE concert, the pinnacle of her career in the 90's...that's why we don't have that concert...I would prefer the realese of a DVD of Live a L'Olympia...now THAT would be an oldie but a goodie....

 

Sorry?? Are you serious? I've listened to the bootleg recording quite a lot and I have never noticed any of the issues you mention. Can you give some examples please?

I thought her voice was quite well, though she was tired and sick.. Her voice was waaaaaaaay better than during the TC world tour.. obviously.

oh crap :) i have drunk some vodka in the past shall-we-not-say-how-many years too, dear, but when i saw ur question about when this perfomance had taken place i thought it was sarcastic :-D cuz even when i have vodka for breakfast with some dragqueens - i always fail to remember how they happen to occur in my flat - i always remember this perfomance of ATW :-D

Think you need to go and watch the show then!! lol Do you remember her speech?? "Some people called him the chairman of the board"..... I enjoyed this performance live and on the dvd, even though i'm not a big fan of the song.

It sounded like the newscaster was saying that Celine seemed tired and showed signs of impatience -- it looked like she was refusing to answer some of the media's questions at the press conference -- did anyone catch what it was that she refused to answer? I couldn't tell. Interesting, though.

exact, she refused questions, she said : Do you have another question, It was a question from the public) , some journalists made protesttaions saying it was a good question, after Celine said: When i don't want to answer a question, i don't answer, before i was giving an answer for everything even the most banal things.

 

I didn.t know the question. but Celine was on a high or something, not calm, she must have been tired.

 

René talked that they were having movie propositions and that in two years, we would see Celine in Cinéma.

 

They were not talking about Let's talk about love at all, they talked about stopping for a time after the tour.

 

My god, not everything have followed the plan :giggle:

Celine's been hitting her chest since way before MHWGO hahaha.....anyway, that version of IACBTMN was so chopped up...she sounded great, but I don't like how they configured this performance version. They could have done a much better job shortening it.

I think it's the same as when she sang it on Rosie...eh..it's just so choppy...I understand it's a vocal show off of a song, but they only chose the loud parts...they didn't compose it all that well.
