This has probably been shared before, but I love how amazing Celine can be in rehearsals. This TCWT rehearsal footage from Japan was amazing, her voice was still perfect at this early stage in the tour. (The sound is pitched up by a semitone or two, it often seems to happen with Japanese broadcasts...)

It is very touching, when we see people as passionnate and will do every thing to have succes, I have a little pinching in my heart because i say , not that i have regrets about what i have done, but it has not always been easy, i worked very, very hard, i let a lot of things go beside that in my life...it has been a choice between, living my life, have friends, go to school, having a job...would i do the same? i don't know. i don't want to seem pretentious, the big carreer, see the world, i have been lucky, i pick the best guy, he was so good that i heve married him...i said to m y self, he is hot, i take him in my clan and he 'll become the father of my child. When i met René at 12 years old, i wasn't thinking at all. I didn't think about a child , a husband , he was my impressario. It was a whirlind, it was hot and comfy, i have had support, love, i was sure liking it, i still like it. Maybe this is why i'm able to give those answers today because i have both , the career and the love, you understand what i mean, it is easy one would think, i have succes, an husband a child, easy to say today that i would make different choices. Not sure if i have worked a normal job 5 days a week, 9 to 5, having difficulties meeting the ends at the end of the month, i'm not sure that what i say to you tonight would be exactly the same.

 

Question: How can you make personnal and professional life work?

 

it has been lucky for us to have the passion, at the beginning , it was only the work, Even if we were not together at that time, i was loving him, and him was loving me because he was finding me so good, and he was my every thing, he was my public, if he was saying to me: you are good, it was enough for me, it was him i was trying to impress and it was enough. He was having a lot of knowledge about other singers, he had a singing career, so when he was making praises and crying, i was believing him, my job was done, it was all i was wishing, i wanted him to love me, i was proud.

today my relation have changed. In the past, every one was telling me what to do, and today i don't want it as much, i have become a bit hypersensitive. When it's been 20 years that someone say what to do and what to say, at the end you know it your self. Now i help him more...like he was excited when he callled you , i was helping him to keep his cool.

Just such a beautiful song...simply beautiful. And very much in line with my current situation. Having to be vulnerable and "tell her" after a breakup. Hearing this songs and having them apply to you makes them so powerful. I mean, when things are going fine in the romance department, you think music is just a bit too saturated with the topic of love...but then it's all you can hear/breathe/feel when you are down and needing an emotional outlet...these lyrics come in handy. /rant

Celine isn't even trying to sing properly in this concert. She sounds so lazy and the production took out any bit of rawness and resonance. Bootleg sounds so much better. Whole thing just sounds like Celine sang lazy on purpose.
