Probably not a lot of TV promotion. However, they’re in a different place than they’ve been before. They don’t *have* to promote the album. An album purchase went to every ticket purchase for the tour. They just needed to sell the tour in order to sell the album. (At least in the US/Canada.) And the tour has sold quite well.

We all thought she would do very little/no promo before the tour, some were angry at no new music before the tour, etc and then we were all surprised by a promo frenzy and 3 new songs in one day.

 

I'm not saying she's definitely doing TV promo or think she'll be on every talk show, but I wouldn't count anything out. She might surprise.

I agree with you but we knew something was cooking as lots of interviewers posted on social media... there is nothing at the moment and we are days away... that worries me a little

I think it goes per purchase, so if someone bought 4 tix. It will consider one redeemable album. Note that the buyer needs to redeem it to make it eligible. And trend says that often buyers are not aware of such promo or forget to redeem. I suppose hardcore fan buyer will know but not a casual concert goer

So when I got tickets for St. Louis show, I got an email 2 days after purchase to redeem album .

Per purchase. However, we can assume *at least* we’re up there in the hundreds of thousands, I do however think 700,000 is a bit out there, but 300,000-400,000 wouldnt surprise me.

 

And regardless of redemption, i dont think hundreds of thousands of people are idiotic enough to see “REDEEM CELINE DION ALBUM” and go “naaaaah”

People forget, don't bother, or don't want to, since physical CDs are such a hassle / they don't have anything to play it on anymore & don't want it taking up space.

(I did redeem mine - though I bought tickets months ago, and didn't bother until just now - but honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do with them.)

So even if say for example around 650,000 of those sold tickets are US tickets, thats still around 195,000 copies. And statistics on many things are.... eh at best. But we’ll see.

I’ve been to many concerts where the tickets I bought came with digital albums of the artists. But I don’t redeem the albums simply because I don’t want them.

I redeemed all of mine (4 shows so far) in order to help the first week sales. I’ve sent them to various friends of mine but kept one for myself just to have. I still like having the physical booklet and case for Celine’s albums only.

Well... I see that many people eventually has more than one copy of album... Here in South America it's not easy buy any Celine product (I remember that I recieve a copy of All The Way for Christmas years ago) so... If anyone can make a "chain-of-gift" and give me one copy, I'll be so happy and thanful...

I'd LOVE for Celine to host / sing on SNL. It feels like now is the right time. They could even bring back Ana Gasteyer for it.

 

I'd also be content if she was just the music guest and make a couple funny appearances in the sketches / pre-taped segments. It'd be AMAZING album promotion and it's just something she's gotta do in her career.

Can somebosy explain. If you don't redeem the album, do you get a refund? Correct me if Im wrong, when you purchased a ticket, a portion of the price was for the album, right? So if you don't redeem, that should still count as an album sale regardless if it was redeemed or not because you paid for it? Or you only get charged for the album ONCE you redeem?

Just looking at the back cover again and find it interesting that the additional 4 bonus tracks included with the deluxe are not listed as such. Anyone would think just by looking at this that it’s just a standard album.

 

Also wondering why they didn’t put the names of the executive producers on there as they would normally do. If the rumours are correct and Celine is credited with being a co-executive producer, I would’ve liked it on there for everyone to see because I think it’s a pretty big deal.

Shania Twain sold 500.000 tickets and "only" 80.000 redeemed the album.

 

I think we are heading towards these numbers (especially since a lot of tickets bought went on resale). With the sales added, I would say between 150.000-200.000 at the end of the day.

We’ve also got to keep in mind that not each ticket gets an album - only each *order* gets an album. So you buy 4 tickets to go with your husband and another couple and you only get one album for that order. Plus, anything that the scalpers purchase and then re-sell won’t get that customer an album. The scalpers could redeem the albums but why would they?
