I am glad the magazines are available for world wide delivery now. However, with everything they sell in her store in Caesars Palace, it's too bad they can't sell some of the magazines she is in as well.

I've said it before but I have so much admiration for her right now, if I had been in a similar situation I would have scrapped everything, but she went on as if nothing was wrong a true professional. She really rocked that voice performance too, can't believe she had just found out. Also, wow RC is so handsome and grown-up, does anyone else think he looks like Celine did when she was pregnant with the twins? I'm thinking about the interview at her home with the white dress, someone just posted it in the youtube links this week. I still see a little of Rene and her Dad too though. Beautiful pics!

René's new cancer has made Celine's winter a living hell....

 

 

 

I would like to say to you: Health and Merry Chrisymas, since this is how we finish our conversations since last January when you told me about the hardtimes you met. It was during Chrisymas time that the new cancer was announced..?

 

It was in LA , i was in repetition for The Voice, René was meeting his Doctor.

 

Was it a regular check-up?

 

He was having an abscess to the mouth that was not healing. Just before our Europe trip. We didn't think right away: this is a cancer. Since his first in 1999 , he was in remission for a long time. But everyone who had cancer keep that fear.

 

 

Did you feel that René was tired?

 

 

No, but he was worried a litlle.He saw my Doctor in Paris, Dr.Abitbol. who gave him antibiotic and advised him to pass an MRI back in america. The abscess reduced but didn't go away. I said to René, go see my ENT specilalist in LA. The ENT said to him: i will make a biopsy to make sure, we will sleep better. The next , i was in repetion for the voice USA, where i'm happy to see again Christina Aguilera and have a chat. I go bagk to my dressing room, where i see Rob Frinz , our american agent and René They close the door.I understand right away. René says to me: I,ve gone to the doctor today....i have cancer. I don't know how to react. I don't cry, time stops. We have to stay in LA, where René will have other exams and his first cares. I go to the hospital to support him and make sure evrything is taken for. René wanted me to assume my obligations and do The Voice like nothing have happened. After the program , the doctors wanted to pursue there investigations and do an operation to see exactly where the cancer spreaded. They take buccal tissu , to know if they are cancerous. Bad news, the first biopsy , analysed as they go along are positives. They continue their tests , as far as the jaw.If this bone is suuffering, a second team is waiting for René in another surgical unit for a 12 to 13 hours operation. And then, finally, first good news, the bone is ok. I can breathe again.

 

 

How did you lived christmas day in those circumstances?

 

I'm looking for gifts. My Big boy is in Utah, for ski. René and don't want to cut his his vacation short, so we don't inform him at tha moment. The twins are with me at the hotel. I manage questions like Where is daddy? : Dad is at the hospital, he has a sore throat He is eating yaourt and takes vitamins.. And i have to go back to give dad his vitamins, i,ll come back in a short while,

 

 

Are you with René during Christmas Eve ?

 

I do a christmas tree in the hotel room, and a little for René that i put on his bedside table at the hospital I bought him gifts, cashmere slippers and little things full of love.

 

 

René's three older kids are there too?

 

My stepsons, Patrick and Jean-Pierre and my stepdaughter , Anne-Marie are with us. I go at the end of the afternoon up until sleep. During the night , Jean-Pierre sleeps with his father the morning , it's Patrick and Anne-Marie during the day. We take turns. But i have to be with the twins also. I do some shopping, but in the meantime, the twins became sick, i'm sleeping in the middle, Eddy to my left, Nelson to my right. I have one big worry, that we become all sick. I'm doing little table-mat. I prepare cookies. I wrap christmas gifts. I decorate the tree. To show that Santa Clauss have come, i put cookies crumbs in front of the bedroom fireplace. When Linda, my sister and Brigitte, my niece came back in the morning, they are stunned. Brigitte said to me: Betrween the hospital, your husband who is battling for his life, there is a Christmass for the childs... On the ipads that i bought for each of René's children, there was a photo of him on the wallpaper. The day after Christmas, René-charles came back to pass time with us at the hospital. Then i had to go back do my shows between Christmas and New Years Eve at the Colosseum in Vegas. That, it was hearbreaking. Jean-Pierre, René's son stayed with him and our friends Pierre and Coco Lacroix. And after, René came back at home, in Lake Las vegas. The day of his return, i have written with shaving soap on a window: Welcome home dad, we love you. We are very happy to be together.

Haha I agree! I see Rene in him, but overall and mixed...there's nothing specific that I notice. Like for instance, RC DEFINITELY has the Dion Chin...I mean look at it in side view in this photo But he looks good!

 

That twin that you think doesn't look cute is probably Eddy. Eddy is adorable but he doesn't have like a baby face like Nelson.

I don't know if it has been said but in this article they mentioned that it's Celine who imagined the setting based on a Manet painting (Dejeuner sur l'herbe) and a flower market. Celine is definitely very creative! I liked the idea!

Reading the interview is heartbreaking. She is so strong and the way she kept going when many others would crack in the same situation.

I can't believe she found out at the voice and still managed to go out and give a stellar performance & not a hint anything was wrong.

She amazes me!!

In the interview with Julie Snyder, Celine says she is currently singing "Pour que tu m'aimes Encore" in her Las Vegas show (the interview took place a couple of weeks ago...that's pretty strange as she had just been singing "S'il Suffisait d'Aimer" back then, and that the show is about to get many changes ! (at last !!)
