chocolatechip15 Posted November 18, 2013 at 03:53 AM Posted November 18, 2013 at 03:53 AM I just watched it. I only picked up little bits and pieces but I thought it was good! I guess people were just puzzled by the lipping part?? Let it go! Much better then Le Grand imo! I only got to about the 1 h 30 mark, when the video refused to play, but I agree that it was much better than Le Grand . she just seemed in a much better mood -- reacting with emotion and gratitude to the homages; gamely going along with Julie's escapades . . .I liked it. Also, the National Enquirer folk ought to have watched this -- about Rene, she said something along the lines of, "We are one and we are forever" 5 Quote

DionFanAlways Posted November 18, 2013 at 10:45 AM Posted November 18, 2013 at 10:45 AM (edited) I think Julie uses Celine's name but that's the nature of the business they are in though. She has a production company and knows what brings in viewers. No different than Oprah! I don't mind her. Don't really know much about her. Maybe the people who live in Quebec are better to give an insight on Julie. Her accent didn't bother me at all. Trust me, I'd stick to Celine also! Jessyka Posted November 18, 2013 at 11:05 AM Posted November 18, 2013 at 11:05 AM And before the big note act like "Omg, let me gather my strength, this is about to be so hard to hit." Just like she did in New York with all of that deep breathing. It's all part of the show she puts. Btw, it's not the end of the word that she didn't sing live. Of course, we wanted to hear her live all the time, but it's part of the game.Everybody does that. It's just a tv show, it's not like she's going to lipsync a whole concert like we know some people do. 1 Quote http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/backup674/Banners/Image1.jpg

hala Posted November 18, 2013 at 04:13 PM Posted November 18, 2013 at 04:13 PM The show wasn't that bad, and it was way shorter than Le Grand Show. But the guests were better last year. Johnny Hallyday, Michel Sardou, Patrick Bruel,... those are legends in France. But what moved me the most is the hommage to Celine's mother Thérèse, and the violonist who played "Ce n'Était qu’un rêve". It was really beautiful and touching. 3 Quote * Moi quand je pleure * Hé, tu vas me dire que j’exagère * Hé, que mesmenaces te font pas peur * Hé, j’aime pas lancer mes larmes en l’air *Hé, dis-moi je t’aime ou je repleure

LVCeline Posted November 18, 2013 at 11:25 PM Posted November 18, 2013 at 11:25 PM Can someone who speaks French sort of give us the jist of what they were saying on the way to the bathroom and in the bathroom? I assume Celine was saying she sounds better or acoustics are better in the bathroom and the host asked her to try it or something? Quote

chocolatechip15 Posted November 19, 2013 at 02:49 AM Posted November 19, 2013 at 02:49 AM (edited) She said that about Rene in this recent show? Can you translate that part please??? First, when the host said they were going to do a homage to Rene, and it was time for Julie to leave, Julie said that she, too, wants to give homage to Rene in 5 seconds, and said, "The word loyalty in the dictionary was written for Rene Angelil. He is the most loyal - who works with the same people. He could have worked with Americans to do their DVDs, their things, [something i missed] -- same people for 25 years -- one the great qualities about Rene -- and Celine -- is the loyalty. And for that, it is a pleasure to give homage to Rene." Then they had Roch Voisine sing S'il Suffisait D'Aimer -- the host said it was her favorite song with Rene -- odd, never heard that before, and seemed like a strange choice for that moment. Then they did the montage of beautiful moments of her and Rene, and Celine said, "Such happiness. Thank you very much." The host said something about fans loving the couple, and when they faced hard times together, like when Rene was sick, the fans were with them. Celine said it helped them enormously and she thanked them. About the show at the Stade de France, she said, "I felt truly all the love of everyone who was there." She said something like, "They were there for me, but they were there for Rene also." Then she said, "It's true that Rene and I are only one. [or "make one" as in, they're two people, but so connected that they're one]. I know that the people know this, and I appreciate this very much. And I think that, once again, it's for this that I believe our love is very special, our relationship together, it's for always [forever], if I may say so. Disclaimer: I am totally not fluent in French - just going by what i learned in my high school french classes. i probably made mistakes in this. Disclaimer: I am totally not fluent in French - just going by what i learned in my high school french classes. i probably made mistakes in this. Well, I think you were pretty serious in French classes back in high school! You got it all right Overall I preferred Le Grand Show last year. I mean the guy was very boring...the show was more about family, life, kids, which would much more connect with Sans Attendre. So my opinion is that they should have used that kind of format last year, and for Loved Me, do a big show, since Céline always talks about how this is a new sound, it's edgier... 1 Quote

I got to write that as my name on my papers all year long . . . There's lots I don't understand when Celine speaks, but she happened to be speaking slowly and using words I recognized in that part I translated.
