She can evolve and stay herself, she can be original, be more than just a Vegas and a Titanic singer. She is a big start that shines even more.... The winner we want is a fully developed, perversely gifted mutant entertainer. That winner we want has already won. And the winner we want is Celine Dion." khader Posted November 15, 2013 at 03:34 PM Posted November 15, 2013 at 03:34 PM (edited) CELINE DION: Loved Me Back To Life (Sony Music)*****She may have left it quite a few years while she had babies and starred in her legendary one-woman Vegas show but make no mistake Celine Dion is back and back with a belter. From the impossible-to shake title track written by Sia (usually associated with the likes of Rihanna), to a duet with R'n'B star Ne-Yo, Celine is certainly down with the kids in a way she never has been before. But don't worry this is gorgeous, vocally immaculate stuff that ropes in a cover of Janis Ian's heart-breaking At Seventeen and a duet on Stevie Wonder's classic Overjoyed. Tasty and delicious!http://www.express.c...a-albums-review Edited November 15, 2013 at 03:34 PM by khader 7 Quote

Even my friends liked it (they repeat it all the time on national TV here during the weekend afternoons!) I thought the same thing -- apparently Celine didn't realize there's already a movie made of her life! But that movie annoyed me to no end -- they completely ignored the French part of her career -- which I get must have been for budget/practical reasons -- but that's such a huge part of her career and legacy that to make a movie of her life and pretend she's only an English speaker -- that just takes away any credibility from the beginning. And there were so many mistakes in that movie -- it just drives me crazy to watch that movie! 3 Quote

And there were so many mistakes in that movie -- it just drives me crazy to watch that movie! Yeah I know! I thought probably they didn't have the rights for her french repertoire... as they did have for her english one. That's why they wrote new songs for the first part of the story... and yeah she "didn't have to learn english" so there was no breakthrough to the english market. But after that they used the original english songs! Still it was pretty enjoyable, and good portrayals of Celine and Rene...and then I saw petite Celine in a very popular horror movie it was hilarious! 1 Quote
