i haven't seen anyone post these on here, so thought i'd share...

 

i uploaded 3 of the live HQ MP3s from the concert at the edison ballroom in NYC... three of the songs from LMBTL :) (LMBTL, At 17, and water and a flame)

A bit off topic. But have you guys heard Mariah's art of letting go. Its getting a lot of negative comments, with people saying the song was outdated, boring and lacks a chorus or a hook.

 

Anyway just wanted to say it also employs the faux vinyl scratch that we first heard in our Celine's SLS... hehe. Just thought id share.

It might not be her best song, but it's doing pretty well on iTunes. Already at #30 in the US!

Does anyone else believe that through out her whole career, she looks sexier in Europe than in the States/ North America?

Everything from what she wears (more diva-ish) to her makeup, to her hairstyles.

 

I wonder if it's because Europe is known for fashion and she just follows suit?

Perez Hilton has been quite nice with the things he's saying about Celine lately. I've read a few stories about her on his site the last couple of days.

 

I love that he includes videos of her performances. The X-Factor was amazing.

I just read the news about the typhoon and earthquake in Philippines. Things are just getting bad there. Are the fans there all right?

Hi Chin! Thank you for the concern! Here in Manila, we were not directly affected by the super typhoon/earthquake. I'm also hoping the Celine fans down south are doing fine there. Help is on the way. I just can't imagine the magnitude of the destruction. :(

 

On a lighter note, the album has been released here. I got the standard edition last weekend and have been continuously playing the CD everyday. I'm hoping the deluxe and vinyl versions will be released here too.

I wrote a small review about the song in the ''Mariah Carey'' thread of the forum. The production of the song is fine to me, but the lyrics are rather awkward and the song lacks a hook. It is very hard to tell when the chorus kicks in and much harder not to forget it. The vocals sound great in the soft verses but the high notes are overproduced. Average song, as usual. That is her OWN choice, just like quitting will be. If she wants more challenges, she will look for them, but she doesn't, as she also loves being in a certain comfort zone.

I wish he was like us. Then she would be promoted on his site constantly. But I'm happy with whatever exposure she gets. :)

The reason she wouldn't have made it today isn't because all of the crazy things "kids" do today. It's because that's the perception of what you have to do today to actually make it. Nothing is based on real talent anymore. If anything, really talented people are more rare today, and take Miley for example; she really isn't that special. Sure, she can sing, but she doesn't have a spectacular voice. At best, she's mediocre. However, the youth today expose sex more in the media than back in the 90s, and it's more accepted now. Still it happened back then too, but some celebrities will never be a part of that. At least not to the extent that some people take it to. And Miley does what she can now to stay popular. You need to do something and stay in the spotlight to be successful, the crazier, the better. And if that's the case, Celine would've never made it today. There are still people who make it today without having to use every inch of their bodies to do so, like Adele. This is where true talent shines through, and Celine would definitely be one of those "kids" if she started out today. Hell, she did it back in the 90's, she would have made it today too.

Her residency is ideal for her right now. She has 3 young kids. She's cares more about being a mother and a wife than a superstar.

Plus she has nothing to prove and people love her Vegas show anyway.

 

But of course I'm still hoping that she tours in 2020 :P

Just Received my LP+CD from the offcial Music Store. I'm listening the LP now. I saw a scratch on it and want to be sure everything will works fine!
