Awww. She smiles at everyone's reaction? Thanks for saying that, I never would have known that since that's a very visual thing and I can't see it. Wow. I think that song is overdone, but that intro rocks so much. And also, I am very surprised to hear so many people love WAAF. From the sound of things, it seems that a lot of people can't stand that song. And thank you to the poster who shared what being a fan has taught them about never giving up. I'm not sure what being a fan has taught me yet, but I will definitely reflect on that a bit.

I find it odd that people dislike that song, it's probably my favorite from the album.

I love WAAF too. For me it goes Thankful, Breakaway, WAAF for top 3 :)

At first I DIDNT like the song for a long time, WAAF, cause of the guy that wrote it, Then after hear celine sing it, I was done, that bridge its to DIE for,,, And the MHWGO, also gives me chills , makes my hair stand up ,

It's even better live. :) OMG. Yeah at first that guy and his attitude really made me wonder if I'd like the song, but the bridge is stunning. I also like those 3 mentioned off the album. I hear so many complaining about WAAF so I guess I decided/thought that was the overall consensus about that song.

Thank God I downloaded the 3 videos from this concert that were posted on VEVO.

Since the QVC special showed not only Loved Me Back To Life, Water and a Flame & At Seventeen, but also It's All Coming Back To Me Now, I'm sure the full concert was filmed (it would have been weird that they just filmed those 4 songs), hopefully they'll release it at some point...

Yeah, WAAF is incredible... I know that My Heart Will Go On is a little bit boring, but the acapella part at the beginning gives me chills.

I wish more people would just recognize this. This woman has done EVERYTHING that it took to build a career based on what EVERYONE ELSE wanted to hear from her. Let her do her own thing now, and if you aren't into it, don't buy it. Enjoy her older stuff because it's what you like. She shouldn't be held back from trying new things just because a few people aren't satisfied with it. Every day is new. Things change. Life changes. We ALL need to evolve. It's an every day process of getting to know ourselves and it's a process that doesn't end until the day we die. I also love how the journalist assessed the song LMBTL as just assign a contemporary tinge to Celine's classic Adult Contemporary style. It was a perfect way to describe it and something I've been saying since I heard the song in 2013 as fans here complained that it was too much of a change. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so.

 

This was such an amazing day/evening. And I got to spend it with some of the best.

I'd love to hear her just singing songs she chooses to sing only but we all know it's not always been like that. Rene didn't even let her move MHWGO in the setlist - which we ALL agree would be the best decision ever... So yes, she is right, but she doesn't only sing songs she wants.... They expect that fans expect always BYLM/TPLO/IACBTMN/LCMM/RDMH which is WRONG...

 

For instance, I think we all remember how she loved Si j'etais quelqu'un.... and we had all expected that she would sing it at some point and... it didn't happen...

I this one of my fav concerts . when she was off for a yr or so , I would always go back and watch this show, or watch her French concerts , Because I miss her so badly

The Edison concert is one that I would have loved to experience! I watch this show frequently. I think she would really like more shows in this setting. To me it was just more personal.

Definitely. And this is the type of show where she could easily slip in a rare album track, never performed before track!

Just like the Rolling Stones did on their 95 Voodoo Lounge Tour, add some small venues in between the bigger stadium concert dates. I'd pay anything to see Celine in a venue like Amsterdam's Paradiso or more classy, the Carré-theatre. And I guess there are tons of venues around the world that are as iconic (The Olympia in Paris, Royal Albert Hall in London etc.)

Back then it was a one-off, an exclusive opportunity to see Céline in NYC where she hadn’t done any proper show in 5 years and hadn’t sung at all in over 2. This year however she already had 6 arena shows in the area. I get why she didn’t do anything this time.

The best is yet to come...

Also I think this concert was the closest she sang the first verse of BYLM to the studio version since 2003. In particular the "you're the one who held me up, never let me fall" lines.
